SchoolPass for First Time Users
Ransom Everglades uses SchoolPass, an online tool designed to enable parents to:
- set up a transportation plan for your students
- manage and report absences, early pickups, and late arrivals
- self-manage authorized drivers for student pickup
- help the school prepare for an organized and timely dismissal process
- manage and track students, visitors, and staff in the event of an emergency.
This document outlines how Ransom Everglades has configured the SchoolPass software to fit the needs of our community on both the upper and middle school campuses. You should be on the latest app release for all functionality to work (v2.4.7 or higher).
Getting Started: Email Notification
SchoolPass will send a "Welcome to SchoolPass" email notification to one member of the student's family indicating that it's time to get the application set up. Please following the instructions in this document for:
- installing the app
- reviewing and editing your profile
- setting up notifications
- registering a vehicle
- adding authorized drivers
If using a Gmail account or AppleID for login, parents can skip the instructions provided in the "Welcome to SchoolPass" email and continue to the next section in this guide for completing the setup. These instructions, as well as more details, can also be found in the SchoolPass General Use Guide.
Installing the App
Functions of the SchoolPass app work best when the operating system of your mobile device is up to date. You should be on the latest app release for all functionality to work (v2.4.7 or higher).
Be sure to install or update the latest version of the SchoolPass Parent App. Search for "School Pass" within the app store for your mobile device and then select the download option -- you know you are on the latest version of the app if you only see the option to "open" the app within the app store. If prompted during the installation to enable location finding, please do so. All of the drop-off and pickup functions are enabled through geolocation.
