  • You will be introduced to THREE data resources that may be useful in the capstone project
  • You will work in a GROUP to explore and identify possible data topics

Sports Market Analytics (sports fan data)
Statista (global survey datasets)

TIP: Start with the Insights menu and choose Explore Consumer Insights

Social Explorer (government datasets)

TIP: Try starting with Tables

In Class Activity

  1. Break up into groups of four
  2. For your assigned resource, look for and identify 2-3 interesting data topics (15 minutes)
  3. Add your group's findings to the board (5 minutes)
  4. Share with the class how you might use what you found (10 minutes)
