Official Launch of New Beyond Graduation Website

Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) is excited to announce the official launch of a new website for Genesee County residents from ages 14-26. The new website, www.beyondgrad.org will provide access to resources to help them plan for their future.

Whether individuals need assistance with career and college planning, skilled trades, apprenticeship programs, or are looking for transition planning options for students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 Plan, the website provides all of that information in one location.

Students will also have access to financial support resources, including filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and information about the Genesee Opportunity (GO) Stipend, which is FREE money for any high school graduate in Genesee County.

College and Financial Aid Planning

Planning for college, being awarded scholarships, and receiving financial aid is a process! Many seniors are hoping to attend college in the fall after graduation, but they need help staying organized and focused when it comes to filling out college applications, scholarship applications, and most importantly, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

New this year is Michigan’s Community College Guarantee! All high school seniors are eligible to attend community college tuition free, regardless of income, just by completing the FAFSA.

We also understand that with the proper protocols, the understanding of such, coupled with the proper mode of operation, we can not only be prepared to react, but deter certain critical incidents from occurring.
