Thank You from Dr. Mercer
Dear CPHS Students, Faculty, and Staff,
I want to extend my sincere appreciation to each of you for your incredible participation in Camels Care CommUNITY Days. Together, more than 600 volunteers served in nine locations, across five counties, and accounted for more than 3,000 hours of community service. Your dedication to service and commitment to making a positive impact in our community truly embody the spirit of Campbell University.
This year’s event was especially meaningful, as it brought together participants from CPHS and CUSOM, showcasing the strength and unity of our health sciences disciplines. The interprofessional nature of this initiative, with students, faculty, and staff from a range of health professions working side by side, demonstrated the strength of teamwork and the value of learning from one another in service to others. Whether you were volunteering, organizing, or supporting your peers, your efforts made a lasting difference, and for that I am deeply grateful.
To see the energy and compassion you brought to this initiative was inspiring. I encourage you to visit the CPHS social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram (@CampbellCPHS) to view photos and videos from the event and keep an eye out for additional posts in the coming days. You can also look for a feature story on the Campbell website this week that highlights the impact of your work. And take a look at photos from each location below.
Thank you again for making Camels Care CommUNITY Days such a success. Your servant leadership and commitment to others help shape a culture of compassion, collaboration and excellence at Campbell.
With gratitude,
Dr. Jeff Mercer, Dean, College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences
