With a recent influx of students receiving detention, it’s become more important than ever to stay on the right side of school policy. Whether you’re struggling with tardiness, dress code, or behavior, here are some quick life hacks to help you out.
1. ADJUST YOUR ALARMS
Waking up early can be difficult, especially without a healthy sleep schedule. Depending on how easy it is for you to wake up, you may need a couple more alarms to avoid getting caught in a tardy lockout, though the amount of alarms needed varies by the person. Try starting with a couple more alarms than usual and add more if needed.
2. BUY A SPARE LANYARD
Forgetting your lanyard is one of the most common mistakes a student can get in trouble for. Whether you've forgotten it at home or lost it completely, it'd be useful to have another to save some time and money. To get an extra, you can buy one from the banker for $5 and bring the receipt to H136 to pick up your spare.
3. Avoid conflict
Choosing to avoid tension with others seems like common sense, but while few people actively try to start conflict, even fewer people shy away from it. It's important to maintain good relationships with your peers, as well as your teachers. Comply with rules your teachers set, seek peaceful solutions and make mature decisions.
