Ysgol Tir Morfa - Newsletter Friday 5th December 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you to all our families who joined us on Wednesday for the first of our Christmas events with Dosbarth Seren and Dosbarth Enfys; also to those that attended Dosbarth Brenig's Mince Pie & Makaton event on Friday. It was good to see everyone come together to celebrate with the children and to share in the festive spirit. Your support means so much to the pupils and staff alike.   This week, we are also delighted to extend a very warm welcome to Mrs Emma Keyworth, who has joined us as our new Deputy Headteacher. She has been busy getting to know our school community this week.   I hope you will join us for our Winter Fair on Friday 12th December at 10am. It promises to be a fun event for our whole community.   Wishing you all a restful weekend.

Our Week at Tir Morfa
Aled Class have been working on their Christmas craft items this week.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Dosbarth Seren – A week full of christmas lights and fun with families and friends.
Famau enjoyed forest bathing and toasting marshmallows in forest school
Enfys enjoyed celebrating Christmas by sharing a sensory story with family and friends.
This week Dosbarth Alwen have been putting wrapped sweets into bags ready for our stall at the Christmas market. We have also decorated them. We are so excited!
Tryfan and Findeg had a fun team building activity afternoon with Bute Energy learning about the wind turbines and looking after the environment.
Brenig have had a busy festive week. We went to the Happy Faces Christmas party. Also, we baked mince pies and then shared them with our families at our Makaton and Mince pies event. Thank you all for coming!
Dosbarth Haul have been practising their communication skills in a range of contexts. Da iawn pawb!
Dosbarth Tegid enjoyed the Happy Faces Christmas party this week. They danced and bounced and had a special visit from the big man himself!! An amazing day!! 🎅 🎄🎉
