Things to do before your exam...

Try to have a good night's sleep and make sure you have eaten something

No food and drink is allowed in the exam room apart from water in a clear bottle

Arrive prepared for the exam

Make sure you have a few working pens and any other permitted equipment

Take your TUSC card with you

Don't forget your drinking water in a clear bottle

Turn up 15 minutes before the commencement of the exam

Disability

If you have a disability you may have reasonable adjustments in place. You will receive an email prior to the exam detailing the adjustments you are entitled to whilst sitting the exam.

When you enter the exam room …

You are now under exam conditions

No talking from this point forward

Make sure your phone is switched off and placed at the front of the exam room or in a plastic bag under your seat

Place your TUSC/ID on your desk

The Exam paper

Do not look at your exam paper until you are instructed to do so

Complete the attendance card and the front page of the exam script

Do not complete the tear/anonymous marking strip until you are finished the exam

Reading time

You should not write during reading time

The exam invigilator/supervisor will announce when reading time is over, only then can you begin writing

The Exam invigilator (supervisor)

An exam invigilator is responsible for ensuring that exams are conducted correctly

What to do if you have a query ...

If you have any queries, please raise your hand and one of the invigilation team will come over to you

Any queries about the contents of examination questions will not be answered by invigilators. Any such queries must be noted in your answer script

Raise your hand if you need a toilet break, the invigilator will note the time of your break in your exam script

Leaving the exam room ...

You cannot leave the exam in the first 30 minutes or the last 15 minutes

Remember to leave as quietly as you can in order not to disturb others

You will get a countdown of how long is left of the exam each hour, and also on the final 10 minutes

Remember to complete the tear/anonymous marking strip when you are finished the exam

In the event of a fire alarm sounding please leave all possessions including your exam paper and leave the venue calmly. Please walk calmly to the nearest meeting point which you will be guide to
