Welcome to our page! We are so glad that you stopped by. You are already in our thoughts and prayers daily and we haven’t even met. God has brought us both to this place for a special reason. Please know that throughout this journey, we will do everything we can to help you feel supported and be confident in your decision. We have a lot of love to give and a wonderful family that we want to share with your precious baby. Please take some time to get to know more about us!
A little about us...
We met in 2009 and have been on this wild ride called life ever since. We had different upbringings in many ways, but both of our families shared many of the same core values. We quickly realized that we enjoyed each other's company and therefore spent a lot of our free time together making great memories. Family is very important to us both and we have always had the dream of having children of our own. We have come down a long and winding road, figuring out that we can't conceive ourselves, but that won't stop us. The Lord has been good to us so far and we are confident that He will continue to bless our lives with the help of you and Catholic Charities of Southwest Kansas.
"Be joyful because you have hope. Be patient when trouble comes, and pray at all times." Romans 12:12
Meet Michael
I was born and raised in a small town in central Kansas with my Mom, Dad and older brother. Growing up, spending time with family and friends was important to us. I enjoyed anything outdoors as a kid: riding three wheelers, hunting, fishing, and going to the lake. My fondest childhood memories though were riding in farm equipment with my uncle and grandpa. This sparked my love of farming and I am thankful to this day that I get to pursue that passion in life. As a child, I was very fond of cats, dogs, pigs and cattle, with a few goats and a donkey along the way. My favorite time of year is calving season. Seeing new life brings me a sense of joy. I hope to pass this love for the land and animals on to another generation.
"Always be humble, gentle, and patient, accepting each other in love." Ephesians 4:2
Meet Casey
I was born and raised in central Kansas. I'm the youngest of three siblings. Spending time with family fills my childhood memories. It was very important to my parents and I have carried that forward into my adult life. Going to family reunions at my aunt & uncle's farm, family trips to the Lake of the Ozarks, birthdays and holidays spent with family & friends, and grandparent bus trips are some of the highlights of my childhood. I spent a lot of time at my grandparents farm. I enjoyed my time with my Grandma picking the garden, playing with the farm animals, building forts out of whatever we could find, climbing the windmill...and everything in between. These are memories that I want my kids & grandkids to hopefully experience out on our farm someday. My parents made sure I was involved in a variety of activities growing up. Sports, singing, rec classes, gymnastics, piano lessons, you name it, my mom probably signed me up for it! This brought a lot of friends into my life. Throughout high school, I continued to be a three-sport-athlete, participated in show choir and student council. After high school, I attended a local junior college and started working.
Family
It is often said that raising a child requires the support of a village, and we are truly fortunate to have an incredible support network. We can't wait to welcome a new member into our tribe. To say the least, a little one will be showered with immeasurable love, encouraged to reach their fullest potential, and supported wholeheartedly in their life's journey.
The Farm Life
We thoroughly enjoy living in the country. Nestled in the heart of God's country, we enjoy the beautiful picture He paints around us daily. It is common to see various wildlife around our house and flying overhead. Michael tends to his own custom hay business and oversees our cattle operation. Casey works full time in the office at a local feedyard, but you'll often see her helping with farm chores in the evenings and on the weekends. Some may call it work, but we enjoy it! Our home is a charming two-story farmhouse with original woodwork that gives it lots of character. We enjoy decorating it for the holidays and love the spacious area that gives us room for a growing family.
