Distraction Free Learning In Schools
What does this Mean?
Under the updated policy, Chancellor's Regulation A-413, students are not permitted to use personal internet-enabled electronic devices during the school day. This includes devices such as cell phones, laptops, tablets, and portable music and entertainment systems. This aims to ensure safe and focused learning environments across all NYCPS schools. School Communication
UASBYW uses Jupiter to communicate with families and students. This is the easiest and quickest way to communicate with the school. On Jupiter.com you will be able to view your child's grades, any notes that a teacher has made, and be in direct contact with teachers, guidance counselor, school social worker and parent coordinator. If you need assistance creating your Jupiter account please reach out to Ms. Ortiz at Jortiz143@schools.nyc.gov.

ROBIN is an organization that helps to build more connected, supported and compassionate school communities by providing tools and resources to students, educators and parents to help improve students mental well-being and social emotional development. There are 5 different workshops and Each workshop has a different focus.

- February 10th: 11am-12pm VIRTUAL - Digital Well-Being: Responsible Digital Citizenship

PTA
PTA meetings will take place once a month virtually at 6pm. It is important that parents participate in monthly PTA meetings as this is an opportunity for the school to share information and resources. we will also have workshops during these times as well.
