Happy Father's Day

Today is Father’s Day, and we take this moment to celebrate and give thanks for the many important father figures in the lives of our students—dads, stepdads, grandfathers, uncles, guardians, and all who lovingly guide, support, and nurture our children each day- including our staff who are with them 6 hours a day. Through our Catholic lens, we reflect on St. Joseph, the foster father of Jesus, as a beautiful model of fatherhood. St. Joseph showed us that being a father is not only about words, but about quiet strength, faithful presence, protection, and selfless love. He listened to God with an open heart, led his family with courage, and provided a safe and loving home for Mary and Jesus. His example reminds us that fatherhood is a sacred vocation rooted in service, humility, and deep care. In our school community, we are blessed to see these same qualities lived out each day. Whether helping with homework, cheering from the sidelines, attending school events, or offering guidance and encouragement, you make a lasting difference in the lives of our children. We also recognize that Father’s Day can be a complex time for some. We hold in our prayers all those who may find this day difficult, and we extend our love and compassion to every family and prayers for peace, consolation and forgiveness. May God bless all father figures with strength, patience, and joy. May they continue to walk in the spirit of St. Joseph—faithful, loving, and steadfast in their care. Wishing you a joyful and peaceful Father’s Day.

Last Week of School!

As we enter the final week of the school year, we pause with grateful hearts to reflect on all that we have experienced together. This year, we have learned, grown, faced challenges, and worked together to overcome them. These moments—both joyful and difficult—are what shape us, strengthen us, and remind us of the true meaning of community. Guided by this year’s spiritual theme, “Blessed are the Peacemakers,” we have been called to live out our faith in meaningful ways each day. Together, we have strived to be peacemakers—showing kindness, resolving conflicts with compassion, and building a community rooted in respect and understanding. In the spirit of Jesus’ teachings, we know that being a peacemaker is not always easy, but it is always worthwhile. It is through these efforts that we bring God’s love to life in our school. As Catholics, we are reminded that we are called to journey together in faith, supporting one another with compassion, perseverance, and hope. Like Jesus’ teachings encourage us, we are at our best when we lift one another up, walk alongside each other in times of need, and celebrate the gifts each person brings. This is what makes our school community so special—it is a place where faith and action come together in love and service. We are deeply grateful for your partnership, trust, and support throughout the year. It truly takes all of us—students, families, and staff—working together to create such a caring and vibrant learning environment. As a reminder, the last day of school for students is Thursday, June 25th. Let's have one last Canada Day/Bring on Summer Spirit Day!! We wish all of our families a safe, restful, and joyful summer break. We look forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 for what promises to be an exciting year ahead! The upcoming school year will be especially meaningful as we celebrate 75 years of our school community. We have many wonderful opportunities planned to honour our rich history and the generations of students, families, and staff who have made our school what it is today. Our formal anniversary celebration will take place on Saturday, April 17, 2027, and will include a special Mass, time for reminiscing, and the opportunity to welcome both past and present members of our community. May God continue to bless each of you and keep you safe over the summer months. To those of you moving to other communities and schools- thank you for being part of our St. Bernadette journey and know that you are always welcome to come back and visit! We wish you all the best. Thank you for being such an important part of our school family.
