Boosters "Show Boise High Some Love" Fundraiser
This February we’re re-launching our fundraising efforts with "Show BHS Some Love." Our campaign this fall fell just short of our goal, so here is a fresh opportunity (and tax deductible year) to support the programs that make Boise High special.
You can also join your BHS community and support our school at one of the parent parties happening this spring, offering something for everyone!

Climate Film Event at Egyptian Theatre This Thursday, Feb 19
This Thursday, February 19th, at the Egyptian Theatre, the Idaho Clinicians for Climate and Health (ICCH) are hosting a film event, screening three films from Protect Our Winters that discuss how climate is impacting our snow pack, what ski resorts are doing, and what we can do in the community to help Save our Snow. Tickets are available at the link below.
We will have tabling from many partner organizations, like the City. of Boise and the Youth Climate Action Council, as well as Protect Our Winters, Bogus Basin, Brundage, Sun Valley, and Boise State, and there will be an expert panel moderated by Boise State Public Radio's George Prentice. There will be a raffle with prizes from the ski areas. All ages event; bring the kids! Share widely, and we hope to see you there! The flyer for the event is below.

Verification of Compliance for the Department of Motor Vehicles can be requested by emailing me at heather.torigian@boiseschools.org. Completed VOC's can be picked up by your student in the Staff Services offices across from the Main Office. We don't email or fax the DMV this form, but students can also request it in person.

Boise High DECA Students Shine at State Competition
Boise High Quiz Bowl Dominates Regional Tournament with Undefeated Record
On February 7th, the nationally ranked Boise High Quiz Bowl team proved they are a force to be reckoned with, sweeping a mid-season online tournament hosted by the Texas Quiz Bowl Association. The team finished with a perfect 11-0 record, securing the title in an exciting overtime finale. Every member of the roster played a vital role in this championship run. Congratulations to our competing scholars:
- Grady Noble (11), Bridget Fullerton (11), Ike Snyder (10), One Park (10), Scarlet Fields (11), Logan Vincent (11), and Lila Hofeditz (11).

Main office Amy Farrell is the Administrative Assistant to Principal Deborah Watts and does most of the communication for the school. Daily announcements are posted on our Boise High website. Each week you will receive an email with the Brave Weekly on Tuesdays with school information and updates as well, created by our wonderful Brave Booster Club. Every quarter we create a Newsletter [http://boise.boiseschools.org/our_school/newsletter] to highlight important upcoming information about school, what is happening with our clubs, activities, sports, academics, etc. Driver's Education forms can also be found at the Main Office. School Social Worker Our School Social Worker is Sherry Tipping, and she can be reached at 208-854-4290, via email at sherry.tipping@boiseschools.org, or by text (school hours only) at 208-907-6517. Ms. Tipping is here to support students with social/emotional needs, and offer small groups and resources as needed. Ms. Tipping is also available to families that are struggling and, if unable to help them directly, can link them to community resources. For students/families that are housing displaced, she can assist with school needs, transportation to/from school, school meals and accessing community resources.
