Friends and Family. Week 4 - TERM 1a

Drawing club has arrived. Over the past few days we have all joined a drawing club. The idea is to enthuse the class, to read more and write loads. We have great conversations, learn new vocabulary, make links to our learning in maths, whilst creating a safe place to learn, make mistakes as well as have a great time. It has been interesting to see how many children in the class create their own codes and put into practice their new learning into play and independent activities.

Maths, maths, maths and more maths. We teach direct maths sessions, and then continue the learning in play and continuous provision. The class loved counting the conkers, it was extended into their play with the class designing ramps and checking how many rolled into the ‘play zone’ with a ten frame.

Enjoying the last of the sunshine. The class devised an obstacle course. They decided the direction, and the height. They were great at helping one another with the trickier parts.
