First introduced in 2022, The URSPYS serves as the final gathering of the academic year for all Ursinus student-athletes, athletics staff, and other campus partners. The goal of the event is to showcase the achievements and milestones of our student-athletes and to honor our seniors. Modeled after popular award shows such as the ESPYS and the Grammy’s, the URSPYS has become one of the most anticipated events of the academic year where everyone comes together to celebrate what it means to be an Ursinus Bear!

Senior MVPs

This award is for the top two student-athletes in the graduating class who demonstrated exemplary athletic prowess throughout their career at Ursinus

Senior Female MVP

Chinwe Irondi - Women's Basketball

Ursinus Women’s Basketball Chinwe Irondi was named the Female Senior MVP after completing a tremendous career as a Bear. She became just the third player in Centennial Conference history to become a four-time first team all-conference selection. She wrapped up and outstanding career by ranking second all-time in program history with 1,818 points and 1,015 career rebounds.

Senior Male MVP

Trevor Wall - Men's Basketball

Trevor Wall of Ursinus Men's Basketball took home the Male Senior MVP after earning All-American honors this season, two career All-Region honors, four All-Centennial honors with two being first team, and finishing fourth all-time in program history for scoring.

Most Outstanding Athletes

This award is for the two student-athletes (regardless of class year) who demonstrated superior athletic ability during the academic year

Most Outstanding Female Athlete

Chinwe Irondi - Women's Basketball

Ursinus Women’s Basketball Chinwe Irondi was the Most Outstanding Athlete in a Female Sport behind a historic season that saw her earn All-American Honorable Mention honors and be named the Centennial Conference Player of the Year. Irondi led the Centennial Conference in points, rebounds, and field-goal percentage.

Most Outstanding Male Athlete

Tony Holden - Football

Ursinus Football's Tony Holden was named the Most Outstanding Male Athlete for 2024-25 following a one of the best seasons ever completed by an Ursinus running back. Holden earned D3football.com All-Region third team honors and was named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Year plus garnering All-Centennial First Team honors. He was 10th in NCAA Division III with 1,316 rushing yards and 15th in touchdowns while yarding the Centennial in both categories.

Rookies of the Year

Awarded to two first year student-athletes who excelled in athletics during their first year as an Ursinus Bear

Female Rookie of the Year

Olivia Guy - Women's Wrestling

Ursinus Women’s Wrestling standout first-year Olivia Guy won the Female Rookie of the Year after a stellar first collegiate season. She posted a 24-11 record, ranked third on the team with 17 falls, and qualified for the NCWWC National Championships. Guy placed second at the PA Collegiate Championships and earned silver at the NCWWC Region II Championships.

Male Rookie of the Year

Mitchell Davis - Men's Track & Field

Ursinus Men's Track & Field's Mitchell Davis had a historic first-year season for the Bears that saw him win the Male Rookie of the Year Award. Davis earned Second Team All-American honors in the pole vault at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, swept the Centennial Conference titles between the indoor and outdoor seasons. He was named the Centennial Conference Indoor Field Athlete of the Year, holds the school records in both events, and took first at the Metro Regional.

Defensive Players of the Year

This award is for the two student-athletes who had the most outstanding season on the defensive side of the game all season long

Maeve Montgomery - Field Hockey

Named Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Year, All-Centennial First Team, First Team NFHCA Region V, and Third Team All-American. Recorded six defensive saves on the season and ranked fourth on the team with 10 points behind four goals and two assists.

Connor Carter - Football

Earned First Team All-Centennial Conference honors and led the conference with 13.5 sacks, which ranked seventh in Division III. Named to the D3football.com All-Region Second Team and ranked second on the team in tackles for loss (19.0) and total tackles (72).

Awarded to a sophomore woman who, during her freshman and sophomore years, demonstrates initiative in financing her education, proficiency and perseverance in intercollegiate athletics and a cooperative and unselfish attitude in women's sports

Morgan Coupe - Women's Tennis

Awarded to a sophomore woman who, during her freshman and sophomore years, demonstrates initiative in financing her education, proficiency and perseverance in intercollegiate athletics and a cooperative and unselfish attitude in women's sports.

Olive Sergeant Hamm Award

Awarded to a senior woman who exemplifies the best in college life; athletically, socially, and scholastically

Katie Barlow - Women's Swimming

Awarded to a senior woman who exemplifies the best in college life; athletically, socially, and scholastically.

Best Bear Award

Honors a staff member of Ursinus Athletics (Team Ursinus), who has demonstrated extraordinary leadership, a willingness to provide exceptional service, and has gone above and beyond to support the Ursinus College Department of Athletics

Carl Blickle - Men's Track and Field Coach

Team Community Service Award

Honors the varsity sports program that achieves the most significant contributions and notable community service to the college and local communities throughout the academic year.

Ursinus Women's Volleyball Team

Play of the Year

Awarded to the Ursinus student-athlete who made the most exciting individual play during an athletic competition this year.

Amanda Groeling - Field Hockey

Groeling's double overtime game winning goal lifted the Bears over Franklin & Marshall and sent the Ursinus Field Hockey team to the Centennial Conference Championship game.

Most Outstanding Athletic Performance Award

Honors the student-athlete who had the best overall individual athletic performance in a single varsity competition this year.

Jalen Bradford - Football

Bradford threw for a single-game program record seven touchdown passes in the Bears' thrilling 53-50 victory over Muhlenberg. Bradford completed 22-of-30 passes and threw for 303 yards in total.

Director of Athletics Award

Honors a student-athlete who exemplifies perseverance, loyalty, and spirit to their team and Ursinus College and is a positive influence on their teammates

Mason Jovilette - Men's Track and Field

Honors a student-athlete who exemplifies perseverance, loyalty, and spirit to their team and Ursinus College and is a positive influence on their teammates.
