YOUTH IDEATHON
Bal Bhavan Public School has always championed a mindset that urges young talents to explore beyond textbooks and embrace innovation.
At the recent Youth Ideathon 2023, hosted by Think Startup in collaboration with CBSE and MEPSC, our students showcased exceptional prowess. Sending in 179 projects with teams of three members each, the school stood out prominently.
The trio consisting of Aarush Mishra, Nikhil Choubey, and Piyush Parida secured a spot in the Top 10 among approximately 1.5 lakh students from India and beyond, earning a Rs 1 Lakh grant for their outstanding project, "Myobionics - Sahaara." Guided by Ms. Hayat Fatima, TGT Science, this remarkable feat marks the second consecutive year to achieve this honor. The award ceremony took place at IIT Delhi on November 19th, 2023, in the presence of esteemed dignitaries and entrepreneurs.
Ms. Neha Gupta, TGT Science, earned recognition as an event expert for her meticulous assessment of around 80 high-quality projects.
For the second year running, Bal Bhavan Public School was honored with the "School of Innovation" trophy. Principal Mr. Vividh Gupta was bestowed with 'The Principal of Innovation' award, recognized for nurturing young creative minds, fostering innovation, and promoting entrepreneurship. He stands among the six principals in Delhi to receive this esteemed recognition.
The school takes immense pride in its budding innovators and looks forward to witnessing more brilliant ideas in the times ahead.
7th SH. G.C. LAGAN MEMORIAL ANNUAL ATHLETIC MEET 2023
Celebrating the Unrivalled Showcase of Sporting Zeal and Unity - A Chronicle of Two Days Brimming with Passion and Triumph
7th Sh. G.C. Lagan Memorial Annual Athletic Meet was inaugurated on 1st December 2023 with unmatched zeal and energy, welcoming 55 schools and over 800 participants for two days of intense competition. The event was graced by esteemed personalities including the School Management Team, renowned figures in the sports world, and special guests who added splendour to the occasion.
The event began with a captivating opening ceremony wherein athletes of 55 schools led by flag bearers rendered salute to the guest during their majestic March-past followed by a pledge ceremony, band performance, the release of colorful balloons, welcome song, dance and yoga performance setting the stage for a display of athletic prowess. Distinguished guests, Mr. Raziduddin Khan, Sports Officer in the Ministry of Home Affairs CISF Delhi, Mr. Sanjib Das, CBSE Regional Director, and Mr. Ranjeet Bhati, an illustrious personality in International Para Athletics honored the occasion, adding a touch of prestige to the event.
The first day witnessed spirited races in the Under 14 and Under 17 categories, building anticipation for the thrilling final races, particularly the fiercely competitive relay races on day two. The event concluded with a magnificent closing ceremony graced by Madam Amrutha Guguloth, the third woman IPS officer in New Delhi District and Mr. Tejaswin Shankar, National player of High Jump and Decathlon, who inspired the students with their words of wisdom and encouragement. The Crowning of Rosary Public School as the standout performers added to the event's excitement.
Principal Mr. Vividh Gupta praised the victorious athletes, highlighting the invaluable lessons in sportsmanship learned through such competitive platforms. As cheers and achievements echo, Bal Bhavan Public School Mayur Vihar reaffirms its dedication to fostering not only academic brilliance but also holistic student development through the celebration of sports and spirited camaraderie.

खुशियों वाली दिवाली
बाल भवन पब्लिक स्कूल के कक्षा तीसरी और पाँचवीं के छात्रों ने खुशियों वाली दिवाली मनाते हुए दिवाली की विशेष सभा का आयोजन किया । जिसका मुख्य उद्देश्य बुराई का नाश करके राम राज्य स्थापित करना था ।
छात्रों द्वारा कार्यक्रम में विभिन्न गतिविधियाँ प्रस्तुत की गई । छात्रों ने कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत भगवान राम को याद करते हुए एक गीत प्रस्तुत करके की । छात्रों ने मर्यादा पुरुषोत्तम श्री राम की गाथा को नृत्य के माध्यम से प्रस्तुत किया । मनुष्य किस प्रकार योग के माध्यम से अपनी दिव्य दृष्टि को उजागर करने का प्रयास कर रहा है ये दिखाते हुए योगा प्रदर्शन भी किया गया । छात्रों द्वारा सर्व शिक्षा तथा राम राज्य की स्थापना का अंदेश देते हुए नुक्कड़ नाटक भी प्रस्तुत किया गया । छात्रों ने प्रधानमंत्री द्वारा बताए गए 10 संकल्पों के बारे में भी सभी को जागरूक किया जिससे वह देश को प्रगति पथ पर ले जा सकते हैं ।
इस विशेष प्रार्थना सभा का मुख्य उद्देश्य सभी के हृदय में दयालुता , सच्चाई तथा ईमानदारी जैसे सद्गुणों का संचार करना तथा किस प्रकार हम अपने छोटे -छोटे कार्यों से राम राज्य स्थापित कर सकते हैं इसका संदेश देना था ।
DIWALI CELEBRATION IN ROBINHOOD ACADEMY
The most awaited festival of the year, Diwali symbolizes the victory of good over evil, and it marks the return of Lord Rama after defeating the demon king Ravana. It is a time when we illuminate our homes with diyas, share sweets, and exchange warm wishes with our loved one Spreading joy and lighting up the world of others. To foster the value of kindness among the youth the students of Bal Bhavan Public School observed a meaningful and touching Diwali activity through the distribution of handmade decorated items such as diyas, bandanvaars, greeting cards, wall hangings and chocolates which were intended as gifts for the children of the Robin Hood Academy and B.S. Memorial School, Nithari(N.GO). The student representatives from the senior classes conducted some activities, sang songs of joy and clicked photographs with the students, bridging the gap between them by sharing some diwali essentials, displaying the true spirit of Diwali, and making this Diwali brighter for everyone.
ATL- GREEN SUSTAINABLE DIWALI
"The greatest homage should be paid to ‘Mother Earth,’ who takes care of the nature in which we have been nurtured. Hopefully, from now on, we must try to maintain the balance of nature by giving importance to the spiritual aspect of Diwali."
Bal Bhavanites from classes III to XII celebrated a green Diwali with great enthusiasm. The students showcased their creativity and talent without limitations during the tinker hour session. They participated in various activities such as "making toran," "creating decorative coasters," and "engaging in lantern activities" using waste and eco-friendly materials. They learned how to reuse old items like newspapers, CDs, and other waste materials to create beautiful Diwali crafts that are environmentally friendly. This year, we celebrate Diwali in a green way, especially in the face of growing environmental concerns.
CBP ON LEARNING OUTCOMES AND PEDAGOGY
“FOR THE THINGS WE HAVE TO LEARN BEFORE WE CAN DO THEM, WE LEARN BY DOING THEM” – Aristotle.
An Informative CBP on learning outcomes and pedagogy was held at Bal Bhavan Public School on 21.11.2023. The educators immersed themselves in the profound teachings of our esteemed speakers, Ms. Nita Arora and Dr. Nishi Sehrawat Phogat. They discussed the salient features of Bloom’s Taxonomy in education, its objectives and outcomes. This was followed with an activity-based learning experience for all the participants. She motivated the participants to actively participate and share their views and experiences.
Dr.Nishi Sehrawat stressed upon identifying the domain and cognitive levels of educational outcomes. She conducted an activity where she asked participants to rate the domain and cognitive levels of educational outcomes. The objective of the workshop was to enhance the skill of preparing a lesson plan, including all its essential elements.
In conclusion, the resource persons analysed the importance of the implementation of learning outcomes and its importance in the day-to-day teaching learning process.
Overall, the workshop was extremely interactive, informative, and interesting.
Unlocking Potential: A Maze of Discovery in Early Childhood Education
‘TURNING PLASTIC INTO PURPOSE" -ICEP WORKSHOP
An engaging workshop about plastics and its impact on the environment was conducted by ICEP for the students of grade VI-VIII.
Students learned about the seven different types of plastics and practical tips for waste segregation, recycling, fostering a cleaner and greener environment.
By addressing the issue of single-use plastic and its environmental impact, the guest speakers encouraged the students to adopt eco-friendly alternatives.
Together, we can create a significant shift towards a plastic-free future.
EDUCATIONAL EXECURSION
Educational excursions are a great way to engage students in learning outside the classroom. They allow students to explore the world beyond their books, gain valuable knowledge and skills, and form memories that will last a lifetime. In order to provide such a learning environment our young dynamic innovators went to Pragati Maidan to know more about financial literacy. Their journey included visits to significant stalls, such as the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), and the Post Office stall. This indispensable learning experience for students allowed them to learn and explore the horizons of finance and marketing as an essential component of economic growth.
NATIONAL CONSTITUTION DAY
“Constitution is not a mere lawyers document, it is a vehicle of life and its spirit is always the spirit of age”. - B. R Ambedkar
On this Constitution Day the students of Bal Bhavan Public School expressed gratitude to the makers of our Constitution and reiterated their commitment towards building a country of their dreams. Constitution Day signifies the spirit an independent India. The students indulged themselves in a plethora of engaging activities and created storyboards, slogans, book marks, posters highlighting the principals and values of a democratic country and the significance of the Indian Constitution.
To mark the significance of this day, morning assembly was also conducted by the students of class V. The ‘Thought for the day’ was in line with respect towards our unique Constitution and being a responsible citizen. This was followed by an insightful speech highlighting the works done by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar ‘The father of the Indian Constitution’ and his contribution towards our country and drafting the constitution. The speaker also enlightened the audience about the different sections, laws, rights, and aspects of the Indian Constitution, and gave an effective conclusion through her speech on working together as a Nation to eliminate violence against Women.
Then, a group song was presented to highlight the need for and importance of Indian Constitution.
This gave them a great insight into good citizenry.
ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS PROGRAM FOR SUPPORT STAFF

Bal Bhavan Public School hosted a transformative Road Safety Awareness Workshop on 25th November, uniting our dedicated staff—drivers, conductors, maids, and nannies—with the expertise of Delhi Traffic Police's ASI Ajay Kumar Tomar and ASI Vijay Pal. The session was a deep dive into prioritizing our students' well-being, emphasizing adherence to traffic rules and regulations with zero negligence.
The workshop also highlighted the critical role our staff plays in cultivating a culture of vigilant road safety, underscoring their duties to consistently enforce seatbelt usage, maintain optimal bus speeds, and ensure a secure environment for every student's daily journey.
Together, we took a pledge to champion safety, promote public transport, and contribute to a greener, cleaner planet. This workshop was not just about rules; it was about instilling a sense of duty and mindfulness, ensuring that every journey is a step towards a safer, greener, and more harmonious society.

To engage the students, fostering a sense of belonging and participation, a lot of activities done by students in library like "Library Scavenger Hunt" , "Masked Storytelling Adventure" and "Story Creating Activity.
To explore a diverse collection of books 📚
for all ages, our School also organised a "Book fair" for students. And to captivate the primary students attention "Magic show" was organized in our school for primary students. Student participation adds a personal touch, making the Book fair and Magic show even more memorable for everyone involved. Through these activities students can develop critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills. They also learn how to navigate and utilize library resources effectively. Overall, library activities contribute to a well-rounded education and promote lifelong learning habits.
