HOW I GOT HERE
My journey as a Makeup & Hair Designer + Artist has been built through extensive on-set experience across Indian and international film, advertising, fashion, celebrity, and beauty brand projects. Working in fast-paced, high-pressure production environments taught me early on that makeup is both an art and a technical discipline, one that must translate seamlessly across camera formats, lighting conditions, and global visual standards. Over the years, I’ve collaborated with diverse creative teams, adapting to varied aesthetics, cultural nuances, and storytelling requirements. From large-scale ad films and cinematic productions to editorial and brand campaigns, each project sharpened my ability to deliver camera-ready, character-driven looks while staying aligned with the director’s vision and production timelines. This cross-market exposure shaped my approach: precise, adaptable, and production-friendly. I bring a balance of creativity and consistency, understanding both the creative intent and the logistical demands of film and advertising. Career Beginnings
I began my career by working closely within professional on-set environments, assisting and collaborating on film, advertising, and fashion projects. These early experiences exposed me to the realities of production workflows, tight schedules, and the importance of precision under pressure. Starting at the ground level allowed me to develop a strong understanding of continuity, lighting considerations, hygiene standards, and team coordination. More importantly, it taught me how to be production-friendly anticipating needs, adapting quickly, and delivering consistent results across long shoot days. These formative years laid the foundation for my growth into a dependable makeup artist & hair stylist trusted with greater creative responsibility and larger-scale projects across celebrity, brand, and advertising work.
Evolution Into Hair & makeup designer
Over time, my work extended beyond application into design, conceptualising hair and makeup in alignment with scripts, treatments etc. I began contributing beyond application—engaging with character briefs, visual references, and the overall aesthetic direction of projects. I started designing looks that aligned with character arcs, brand identities, and narrative requirements, while maintaining continuity and technical precision across shoots. Leading teams, and translating creative direction into camera-ready results marked my progression into hair and makeup designer for film and advertising projects.
Moving Into Hair & Makeup Design
This transition was organic and responsibility-driven. With growing trust from production teams, I moved into hair and makeup design roles, overseeing look development, execution, and consistency across projects. Today, I approach each assignment with a designer’s perspective balancing creative vision, production realities, and camera readiness.
