PwC lead Client Relationship Partner for UK MOD
It is with genuine pleasure that PwC UK continues its long standing commitment to supporting the UK Armed Forces Winter Sports Association.
As an established sponsor, we deeply value the opportunity to remain a part of this inter services event and the military community. Supporting military personnel and their families is a core commitment for us, and being involved in this event allows us to show our appreciation and give back to those who serve our country. We are dedicated to providing meaningful support and resources that can make a positive difference to service members and veterans.
We are looking forward to seeing the alpine, telemark, and snowboard disciplines compete. The competition will be a fantastic display of the talent and dedication each participant brings to the event. We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of it and to build meaningful relationships with everyone involved.
I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank all the organisers for their hard work in setting up this event, as well as the numerous other events they manage throughout the year. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.
To all the competitors, we wish you the best of luck for this season's championships!

Group Chief Executive
For the past four years, Balfour Beatty has been proud to sponsor the United Kingdom Armed Forces Winter Sports Association Championships. We see this as an extension of our commitment to the Armed Forces community – a relationship we value. Our business has deep roots in supporting the UK defence sector.
From building airfields during World War II, to constructing state-of-the-art training facilities, and delivering mechanical and engineering works on the Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carrier – it has been an honour to provide critical infrastructure for the Armed Forces through many pivotal moments. More recently, we have been appointed by Rolls-Royce Submarines Limited as their non-fissile construction partner for its major expansion works in Derby to support the MoD and the AUKUS programmes.
However, our connection goes beyond these high-security projects – we’re equally passionate about supporting the Armed Forces community in their transition to rewarding careers at Balfour Beatty after they leave their military service. A key part of this is our commitment to helping ex-Forces colleagues and their families navigate civilian life. In November 2024, we re-signed the UK Armed Forces Covenant, reaffirming nearly a decade of dedication since first pledging our support in 2015. Alongside this, we’ve set an ambitious goal: to recruit 200 veterans annually from 2025, making up about 10% of our UK workforce intake each year.
These achievements showcase the breadth of support we offer to the Armed Forces community – whether they are veterans, currently serving as Reservists or in the Cadets, or Armed Forces’ spouses and other family members. To all this year’s competitors, I wish you the very best of luck. I look forward to seeing the strength, determination and camaraderie of the Armed Forces community in action on the slopes.

We are excited to once again be a sponsor of the UKAFWSA. It is always a wonderful opportunity to witness the outstanding performances of competitors, to catch up with old friends, and to make some great new friends too.
Endace is a proud supporter of many armed forces sports events, and the UKAFWSA is always a highlight of the year.
I am always impressed by the wonderful spirit of the UKAFWSA. While intensely competitive, it is also always conducted in a friendly, supportive and convivial atmosphere, and the achievements of all the competitors are celebrated with genuine pride from everybody in what their comrades have accomplished. It truly is a credit to our armed forces and Endace feels very privileged to be a part of it.
The organisation of the UKAFWSA is an incredible feat of logistics and the team does an amazing job year after year.
The event is truly a tribute to the professionalism, dedication and teamwork of the Armed Forces. In these uncertain global times, it is reassuring to know the people dedicated to the defence of this country are of such calibre and integrity. Our thanks to you all.
