Lincoln Climate Action Festival 2024 - Sustainability at Lincoln University of Lincoln sustainability news - CAF edition

What have we been up to?

The Sustainability team has been busy this last month, coordinating our fourth Climate Action Festival (CAF) with city partners, and with our yearly audit for our Energy and Environmental Management System (EEMS).

We're pleased to share that in October 2024, the University's Energy and Environmental Management System (certified to ISO14001 and ISO50001) was successfully audited by certification body, NQA.

Coming up - 18 - 23 November

Get involved with the Lincoln Climate Action Festival

We invite staff, students and members of the public to our fourth Lincoln Climate Action Festival which returns from 18 - 23 November. We're thrilled to be hosting an open festival focussing on Climate Action, Nature Positive and Community.

We have some truly brilliant events lined up, there are opportunities to learn about climate research at the University, attend a panel on Wild Lincolnshire, feed into an educational workshop on the Sustainable Development Goals, attend a book launch, art exhibition, learn wildlife surveying and photography skills and more.

There will be a dedicated tree walk at Riseholme, and a bitesize carbon literacy training event at the Brayford.

Evening events also include a Craft Café, Eco night market at the Lincoln Arts Centre, film screening of "Silent Running" at Southside Lincoln, "People, Planet and Pint!" and a Book Launch!

There's also the opportunity at the end of the week to join us for a bring your own lunch event at the Table for the nation at the Lincoln Cathedral!
