How to make welsh cakes by 5AH

THE BACKSTORY OF WELSH CAKES

Welsh Cakes have been tea-time favourites in most parts of Wales since the second half of the nineteenth century. They were usually cooked on a bakestone and the Welsh names given to these cakes were usually based on the different regional Welsh name for the bakestone.

Ingredients: 250g salted butter, 200g raisins, 4 small eggs, 4 Table spoons of milk 400g all purpose sugar, caster sugar, 2 pinches of salt, 2 Table spoons flour, 1/4 baking powder, mixed spices, cookie cutter, pan and bowl

METHOD

First, add the flour, sugar, 1/3 TS baking powder and milk with your hands until breadcrumb texture.

Then, add the salt and mix, add small eggs with the milk.

Next, Add you flavoring (mixed spices) with another egg and whisk until dough texture.

Then, knead the dough until its thick, mix in your raisins with the dough.

After that, put flour on a counter top and roll the dough on it.

After That, roll out the dough and flatten, get the cookie cutter, cut cut them into circles and get a pan and heat and put butter on it.

Finaly put the welsh cakes on a plate and...
