Positive Behaviour for Learning

Thanks to Mrs Rosser and the PB4L Team for their organisation.
NAIDOC Week
Our school will acknowledge NAIDOC this week, beginning with a whole school assembly, Wall of Fame induction and community morning tea on Tuesday 1 July, with the Biren Cultural Group facilitating activities in the afternoon. We will also be offering a free BBQ on Wednesday 2 July, along with bracelet making in our cultural garden throughout the week.
NAIDOC Touch Football
The NAIDOC Touch Football event held at Tweed River High School was a fantastic celebration, with Kingscliff High School students proudly representing our school.
Both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal students thoroughly enjoyed the day, as did the staff and parents who came along to assist and support. Our team played three games, securing two wins and one close loss. In a great show of teamwork and school / community spirit, we supported Wollumbin High School by rotating players between our teams, as they had limited numbers. This collaboration worked brilliantly. Students showcased impressive skills and built new friendships across schools.
All of our students were exceptional, showing great enthusiasm, teamwork, and a genuine commitment to learning about and connecting with Aboriginal culture. A special mention goes to Kenesha Dargan, who was awarded the Spirit Award for her unwavering determination, resilience, and consistent effort throughout the day, an inspiration to all her teammates.
Thanks to Mr Reid who made the day happen.
