THE JOB

The Resident Services Manager provides leadership and oversight of Resident Services & Family Self-Sufficiency programs. They play a key role in advancing Homes for Good's mission by supporting and supervising team members and implementing programs based on resident needs.

WHO WE ARE

Homes for Good Housing Agency is the Public Housing Authority (PHA) for Lane County, Oregon. Our primary work is to help low-income community members with the logistics of affordable housing. At a higher level, we are neighbors united to get every Lane County resident who needs help into a home.

Our programs provide housing and rental assistance to over 5,000 households in Lane County through voucher-based subsidies and Agency-owned public, multi-family and affordable housing communities.

OUR RESIDENT SERVICES DEPARTMENT

Our Resident Services Department consists of two teams:

  • Six Resident Services Specialists providing services and programming to our Public Housing & 3rd Party Managed communities.
  • Three Family Self Sufficiency Coordinators providing case management to people we serve in the Family Self-Sufficiency Program.

WHAT YOU WILL DO FOR THE TEAM

Reporting to the Supportive Housing Director, the Resident Services Manager provides leadership and supervision to the Resident Services & Family Self-Sufficiency teams.

This key role is entrusted with maintaining excellence in operations and customer services within the Resident Services Department by developing, implementing and managing supportive programming within the Agency's housing portfolio and by supporting team members who work directly with the people we serve. Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, fostering productive working relationships with community partners, participating in strategic planning, and coaching & developing team members.

WHAT YOU'LL BE ENTRUSTED WITH:

  • Developing, implementing and managing programming and services in support of residents living in Agency owned communities.
  • Leading resident engagement efforts within Homes for Good's owned and managed communities.
  • Evaluating and modifying department operations to increase program effectiveness and improve outcomes.
  • Coordinating activities and programs with other departments and external agencies.
  • Applying for and administering grant funding.
  • Creating & monitoring departmental budgets.
  • Coaching and mentoring assigned team members.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum qualifications are used as a guide for establishing the minimum experience, education, licensure and/or certifications for someone to be successful in the position. Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

EXPERIENCE

At least four (4) years of experience implementing programs providing and/or coordinating supportive services for residents and clients. At least two (2) years of experience should indicate increasing responsibility in implementing and administering supportive service programs or projects to include case management, supervision and grant administration.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate will likely have a four-year college or university degree with major course work in public administration, social work, psychology, social services or other related field.

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

This position is required to frequently drive Agency vehicles in the course of work. Possession of or ability to obtain a valid State of Oregon vehicle driver’s license and be insurable at standard rates is required of this role.

SALARY RANGE

$76,960.00 - $103,123.40 annually

Homes for Good determines starting pay within the range based on relevant education and experience.

PAID TIME OFF

At Homes for Good, we believe that providing employees with adequate time off to rest, recuperate, and to accommodate personal & family commitments is necessary for our organization's success. To that end, we provide the following paid time off:

Incumbent must reside within the State of Oregon and be able to report onsite as needed in Eugene, Oregon to meet business needs.
