Polite. Punctual. Shareholder-oriented.

Hitlist make noise.

Lots of it.

Hitlist are bold, incisive, angry, weird, silly, romantic, and loud as f*ck. You can't help but dance.

We started the party in a Leeds basement in 2024. We've grown exponentially since, from humble beginnings as the most unconventional wedding anniversary entertainment to winning the adoration of Sheffield, Bradford and London on tour, signing to Leeds independent label Monomyth Records and playing Live At Leeds Festival 2025 alongside acts like Fat Dog, Divorce & Westside Cowboy. Chaos-wielding, the band thrives off unpredictability, reflected in our influences as diverse as Shame to Talking Heads, Vulfpeck to Red Hot Chili Peppers. Each song is a unique flavour, a setlist pick-n-mix. Funk, punk, metal, oh my! But we won't spoil it all. You'll have to listen for yourself.

HUMAN CEREAL

Hitlist's debut EP Human Cereal is finally here. It's our mission statement - loud, very loud. It has nothing to do with cereal but everything to do with humans and how they lie, betray, disappoint, ignore and enrage us, but what would we do without them? They are part of life’s rich tapestry, after all. Some truth, a lot of fiction and buckets of youthful exuberance went into this record, and now we’ve got it out of our system, we can pass it joyously on to you!

'Human Cereal is crammed full of punk angst, a bundle of energy that is ready to give your ears a ruddy good workout.' - Music News monthly
'There is anger here, and plenty of weirdness, but also humour, romance, and a real urge to move. It is loud, cheeky, and easy to replay.' - Hayden frears, Beach house Blog
Girlfriends released Feb 13th via Monomyth Records.

Girlfriends

Hitlist's debut single Girlfriends was released in February 2026 via Monomyth Records. It amassed 10k streams in its first month of release, won the Amazing Radio Audition Poll and gained press from all over the world. For a song about feeling inadequate, it sure did make us feel pretty adequate!

'"Girlfriends" is the sound of a band who have absolutely no interest in being palatable, which, paradoxically, makes them almost impossible to resist.' - Indie Dock Music Blog

'I also really enjoyed the virtuosic riffs and the song’s dark undertone. They combine punchy dynamics with captivating melodies that won’t let you go anytime soon.' - Adrian Prath, Indie Tapes

Press

'Hitlist are not here to be relatable in the Instagram sense. They are here to make noise, as they cheerfully admit, and the noise they make is extremely good.' - Indie Dock Music Blog
'The four-piece bring an unmistakable drive to your playlist, powered by a gripping vintage fuzz distortion whose sheer intensity is hard to capture in words.' - Adrian PratH, Indie Tapes
'Musically, Hitlist operates as a live wire... yet nothing they do is just copying; they create disorder with purpose.' - Fernando MAchado, Optimates Blog
