This term is flying by and it is wonderful to see all the smiling faces as I walk through the classrooms each day. It is great to see the quiet hum of everyone as they are engaged and interested in their learning. Our new group of learners in Karaka with Mrs Smeed each morning have brought a fresh burst of enthusisam and they have been a delightful addition to our school this term.
This week we had the joy of welcoming Lincoln to Nukumea. We hope you all join us in giving Lincoln and his parents a warm welcome to our Nukumea community.
As we approach the end of the year, the sun does get more harsh, so this is just another reminder to please ensure your child brings a hat to school each day. They need to wear this when playing outside at morning tea and lunchtime, and also need it on during any trips or walks around our community.
In line with Nukumea's mission statement, 'nurture the seed and it will flourish', we would like to share the details of our neighbourhood wellness space. The Vitality Space is run by Lauren Filer who is a highly qualified wellness pro of 15 years. She offers Yoga, Pilates & Bootcamp classes, Reiki healing and massage from her home studio as well as local wellness events and retreats. She offers a friendly and welcoming space for all. She is starting an outdoor class series from Ringi Lane Reserve from the week beginning 20th November. These classes are run as 4-week courses which you can book via her website www.thevitalityspace.com
