The NELPs are part of the Governments long term strategy for helping children and young people to attain their educational potential; preparing young people for participation in civic and community life and for work, and promoting resilience, determination, confidence, creative and critical thinking, good social skills and the ability to form good relationships; and helping children and young people to appreciate diversity, inclusion and Te Tiriti o Waitangi. TGS plans centre around the key areas of the NELPs.

Community Consultation
In the 2026 school year, TGS is due to consult with the community and to develop a path forward for the coming years. The decision with regard to timing of our consultation will be considered by the Board, in coming months.
Currently this plan remains in place
