Dear Bluejay Family,
We’re excited to share some updates to our Bluejay Bulletin, all designed with you in mind! A few weeks ago, we adjusted the format to address your feedback about photos taking up too much space. Now, we’re taking it a step further by using our website more effectively for longer or repeated information, and messages specific to certain grade levels. This allows our weekly updates to be brief, while still keeping you informed!
From now on, you’ll find buttons in the bulletin that link directly to full details, making it easier to access important info. Plus, since everything will be on our website at www.scsbluejays.org, you can simply search for anything you need whenever it’s convenient for you!
Thank you for your continued support as we work to serve you better!
Grace & Peace,
Erin B. Henry
Principal

Discipleship Retreat
At Sacred Heart, we hold tight to this one vision: Encountering Jesus, Becoming Missionary Disciples. Many of you have adopted this vision and made it your own. We believe that as we journey together in faith intentional time and energy should be focused on exactly how we live out this mission, specifically on how we as a parish better equip people to serve the mission. This retreat will be a day of equipping!
Join us on Saturday, September 7 @ 9AM-2PM in the Multipurpose Room of our One Heart Building. This retreat is FREE and open to all!
Lunch will be provided! Your registration helps us have an accurate meal count, so please register by Monday, September 2nd.
Need a Sacrament???
Are you, your child, or anyone else in your family interested in receiving the sacraments- specifically Baptism, First Confession, First Communion (for those older than 2nd grade), or Confirmation (for those in 11th grade or older)? If so, fill out this form and we would love to chat about it!

Aftercare/Morning Care BILLING Cycle
For clarification purposes please note that ALL aftercare billing is done on a monthly basis. Invoices are sent at the beginning of each month to parents’ FACTS accounts. If your child attends as a drop-in or morning care, your invoice will reflect the prior month’s charges (i.e., August attendance is billed at the beginning of September). If your child attends a regular 2,3,4 or 5 day per week program, your bill will reflect the current month’s charges (i.e., September invoice is for the month of September). Please be sure the financial account you have on file for FACTS incidental billing is valid.
Registration is still OPEN through the month of August!! If you have not enrolled your child(ren) for our aftercare/morning care program, please click the link below. Registration is required for ALL attendees, including drop-ins. Thank you!!
Homework Club hosted by Beta Club
This year we will be introducing Homework Club hosted by Beta Club. Our 6-8 grade Beta Club Members will assist students in grades 3-5 with homework. This is not meant to be a tutoring session. It is intended to help students complete their homework before their afternoon begins. Our Homework Club will begin the first week of September.
If you know this something you may be interested in this upcoming year
PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THE INFORMATION BELOW. There is limited space available each month.
Dear Bluejay Family,
Practice pays off! Our Bluejay volleyball teams took to the court last Saturday. Most of our girls were at home while two of our teams took to the road. All of the teams played extremely well for a jamboree! Their level of play even surprised the coaches and fans. It was heartwarming to see the girls having fun again after a long summer of practices.
The jamboree that we hosted at St. Cecilia was a big success as well! We hosted 7 games during the day. Everything ran smoothly. We were gracious hosts to all of the visiting schools. This could not have been accomplished without the hard work of our volunteer parents, students, and even a former teacher. They helped set up everything the night before and stayed to the end to make sure all was in order. This is the true measure of the beauty of SCS! Thanks again!
While we are in a grateful mood, special thanks go to Mr. Rick Warren and Triad Construction for donating the football undershirts for the boys to wear this fall. They are very excited and thankful that they get to look like high school boys warming up!
As a reminder as we begin games next week, please refer to the Athletic Handbook. Admission is $6 for adults, and $1 for children. SCS students, staff and teachers are admitted free for home games in our gym.
The schedules are in and available on our athletics page, where you can find all the information you need for Bluejay athletics.
Have a blessed day,
Scott Boudreaux
