July in Denmark is a wonderful time of year, with its warm and sunny weather making it arguably the best time to visit. Copenhagen comes alive with beautiful gardens and greenery, and people flock to outdoor cafes and swimming areas to soak up the sun.

The Royal Copenhagen flagship store, nestled in the heart of the city center, is more than just a shop. It’s an almost museum-like space, a testament to artistry and exquisite ceramics.

Gliptoteca Ny Carlsberg, an extraordinary museum, features a tropical atrium, exhibits showcasing Ancient Egypt, Greece, and Roman antiquities, artworks by Gauguin and Degas, and a breathtaking roof terrace offering panoramic views.

The Kalveboderne waterway, a beautiful part of Copenhagen, offers a glimpse into the city’s finest Danish architecture. Public transportation boats provide routes that lead to charming neighborhoods not typically found in tourist guides.

Danish houses from the 17th and 18th centuries are known for their distinctive ochre yellow color. The ochre pigment provides durability and a weather-resistant finish, ensuring that the houses can withstand harsh weather conditions. The ochre yellow color tends to brighten up the gloomy winter months.

Amalienborg Palace, the Royal Family’s residence in Copenhagen, offers a captivating spectacle at 12 noon—the changing of the guard.

Kastellet, a star-shaped citadel, was built in 1626 and stands as one of the most well-preserved fortresses in Northern Europe. It continues to be used for military purposes.

A day trip to Roskilde is just 35 minutes from Copenhagen and is a fantastic place to spend an afternoon. The city has roots that go back 1000 years and is famous for the Vikings that ruled the fjord.

Bernstorff Castle, a beautiful park, has been transformed into a luxurious boutique hotel nestled near Gentofte, just outside Copenhagen. The expansive grounds offer a serene haven for relaxation and tranquility, or a delightful afternoon tea experience.

Not far from the Copenhagen Airport lies one of Denmark’s most charming villages, Dragør. Once a Viking fishing village, Dragør is now a labyrinth of well-preserved historic buildings and beautiful gardens.

Den Blå Planet, Denmark's National Aquarium is the largest aquarium in Europe. The exterior has an impressive spiral design with thousands of diamond-shaped aluminum plates that cover its wavy exterior.
