The sun is shining in San Sebastián! We enjoyed a leisurely morning and a little sightseeing before spending the late afternoon sitting on the surf beach watching some seriously good surfers carve up 8 foot plus waves with ease. I think we picked the locals at one end of the beach (the ones catching all the waves) and then the rest happily bobbing up and down attending what looked like a mothers club meeting!
At around 7:30pm we begrudgingly dragged ourselves from the beach as all the Pintxos bars were coming to life. We chose a bar to partake the tasty little delicacies which did not disappoint - lots of locally sourced delicious seafood!
We finished with a piece of Bassk cheesecake in the comfort of our hotel room that we had purchased earlier. (I think we’ll be waddling along the track tomorrow and we start the day with a steep climb out of San Sebastián)! We are sad to be leaving San Sebastián but the Camino trail beckons….
