Endless Opportunities
With a rigorous curriculum featuring STEM and AP classes, championship-caliber athletic teams, and dozens of extracurricular activities, Lenape District students are able to explore virtually any interest they have.

Project Lead The Way - Pathway to Engineering is a four-year Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics elective program that engages students with activities, projects, and problem-based learning opportunities designed to help them understand how the skills developed in the classroom can be applied to a career in engineering.

Advanced Placement (AP) and College Accelerated Program (CAP)/Dual Enrollment courses provide LRHSD students the opportunity to earn both high school and college credit in 8 different subject areas. Last year, 77.9% of district students earned college credit by scoring a 3 or higher on an AP test.

Career Pathways - All three of our 4-year career training programs prepare students to pursue a number of high-demand, lucrative, and rewarding careers in the trades. With an ASE Automotive Certification program at Seneca, a Construction, Building & Carpentry program at Cherokee, and a Metalwork, Welding & Fabrication program at Lenape, LRHSD Career Pathway programs are open to all LRHSD students, regardless of home high school.

Each of the Lenape District's four high schools field varsity and junior varsity teams in 30 different competitive programs.

Unified Sports is an inclusive program that brings together athletes of all abilities, allowing students with and without intellectual disabilities to compete on the same team. Within the Lenape District, 118 players participate in over 50 interscholastic basketball competitions throughout the state, where they not only engage in sports but also build meaningful friendships and promote social inclusion.
The program is designed to enhance the physical fitness and sports skills of all participants, while also fostering a sense of community and belonging. By encouraging mutual respect and understanding, Unified Sports helps to break down stereotypes and challenge perceptions, promoting a positive atmosphere both on and off the field. This initiative is not just about sports; it’s about building bridges between individuals, improving social attitudes, and creating lasting connections among teammates and peers.
From Student Council to Marching Band to Robotics - and everything in between - the LRHSD has dozens of ways for every student to get involved. In 2025, over 75% of district students were involved in extracurricular activities.

The LRHSD's graduation rate is 5.8% higher than the New Jersey average, and 9.7% higher than the national average.
Our students' average score is 30 points higher than the state average and 74 points higher than the national average.
81.6% of the 1,675 graduates from the Class of 2025 were accepted to 598 institutions of higher learning.
Since 1958, Lenape District graduates have been making their mark on the world and excelling in their respective fields.

Community
An inclusive school environment is essential for student growth and achievement. LRHSD students and staff participate in peer leadership training, school climate surveys, cultural proficiency training, leadership academies, anti-bias training and more.

Every year since 2012, each Lenape District school has earned the No Place For Hate designation from the Anti-Defamation League. Our Upstander initiative demonstrates how anyone, regardless of background or interest, can be a supportive member of our school community.
Service & Leadership
National Honor Society, Renaissance, Peer Leaders, Camp Lenape, Seneca Peer Training, Cherokee Core Values, and Shawnee Green Dot are just some of the organizations within the LRHSD that provide students with the opportunity to grow as leaders and give back to their communities.

Over 90% of 12th grade students participate in the annual Senior Day of Service.
In an effort to make Better Connections with the community, the Lenape District's leadership group took part in a team-building workshop. Their time and energy resulted in 12 new bicycles for local children just in time for the holidays.
Numerous clubs and athletic teams conduct drives and collections, as well as participate in charitable events to help give back to those in need.
American Red Cross blood drives are popular events at all four of our high schools. Each year LRHSD students and staff give of themselves to help countless others.
Since partnering with Goodwill Industries of Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia in 2011, Lenape District students have collected nearly three quarters of a million pounds of donations for the local nonprofit!
Faculty & Staff
Our knowledgable and dedicated staff provide the foundation for the transformative experiences that occur in the LRHSD. Our educators are speakers at national conferences, published in professional journals, and active leaders in job-related organizations.

Degrees of Distinction
Over 60% of Lenape District certified teachers have a Master's Degree, and 12 staff members have a PhD. Year after year, the number of educators with advanced degrees grows.
Shawnee High School is the proud home of the 2024-2025 Burlington County Teacher of the Year - Margaret Fanourgakis. A Lenape District educator has been named Burlington County Teacher of the Year 12 times.
National High School Principal of the Year
Lenape High School is led by the nation's best principal! Lenape Principal Tony Cattani was named National High School Principal of the Year by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) in July, 2025.
The NASSP highlighted Tony's commitment to the Lenape community, his leadership, and the transformative impact he has as the National High School Principal of the Year.
