SENSATIONAL SANTORINI

SOME OF MY FAVORITES FROM MY WORKSHOP IN GREECE

IT'S MY FIRST TRIP BACK IN 10+ YEARS

Returning to Santorini for a second visit feels like reuniting with an old friend. The island’s iconic white buildings with blue domes, set against the backdrop of the sparkling Aegean Sea, are just as mesmerizing as remembered. This time, there's a deeper desire to explore beyond the well-trodden paths of Oia and Fira, to discover hidden gems like quiet, local tavernas or the ancient ruins less frequented by tourists. Armed with the familiarity of the landscape and a newfound curiosity, the second journey to Santorini promises a blend of comfort in the known and excitement in the undiscovered.

BELOW: When I do workshops like this, after the workshop I take each participants favorite images from the week and I put them into magazine spreads. We do this as a learning tool about which types of images work well for telling a travel story, mixing "Hero" shots with detail and storytelling shots. Here's an example (below) using some of my own images from Santorini.

A few from the fishing village up to Oia – the most popular area on the island. Most of Santorini sits on the top of an island. From the spot where the cruise ships dock, you take a cable car up to the city.

FRAMING IT UP

Here's another concept in displaying images from a trip. Here are some of my favorites in a frame hanging on the gray wall.

Thanks for letting me share my trip with you. :)
