Conrad Bi-Weekly Memo February 2, 2024

Principal's Message

As we seamlessly transition into the second half of the school year and with Spring on the horizon, the anticipation for the start of the Spring Sports season is building among our Middle and High School Students. The season kicks off on February 26th for high school students and March 4th for middle school students. We are proud that more than 75% of our student body actively participates in our diverse array of clubs and athletic opportunities.

Research consistently demonstrates that involvement in such extracurricular activities contributes significantly to the ongoing growth of students as both learners and young adults. With over 15 options for High School and 10 for Middle School during the Spring Season, there are many great options for your child!

We encourage you to explore these options and find meaningful ways to connect them to our vibrant school community.

Mission- Conrad Schools of Science… teaching life science and life lessons in a kind and inclusive environment, inspiring students and improving the world.

Vision- Conrad Schools of Science will empower students to achieve their goals and impact the community.

Middle School Sports update

Our winter season is beginning to wrap up for our Middle School teams. As we move into the final events of the season we congratulate all of our teams on their hard work throughout the season!

Our MS Girls Basketball team finished the tough season with a record of 3-6. We congratulate the girls on their continued effort in all their games. They ended the season on a high with a win over Skyline. Great work ladies, we are excited to see what the team brings next year.

8th grader Ethan Golden earned a 2nd place finish in his weight class; 7th grader Abigail Rist earned 3rd in her weight class; and 6th grader Darziel Williams-Comacho earned 3rd in his weight class.

Our MS Wrestlers finished their season with the Red Clay Wrestling Championship on Tuesday. Wrestlers from HB, Dickinson, Skyline, Stanton, and BSS came to Conrad to compete in the bracket-style tournament. Three of our red wolves earned medals for the team. Congratulations red wolves, and team on an excellent tournament and season.

Our Middle School Boys Basketball team finished their regular season games with a record of 4-5. The boys moved on to the playoff tournament as the 3rd seed in Red Clay. They played Thursday night at Goldey Beacom against HB DuPont, unfortunately they lost. We congratulate the boys on their awesome season and can not wait to see what they do next year.

Special shout out to our Middle School Cheerleading team who support our two basketball teams at all of their home games this season, and also traveled with the boys to the playoff game last night (Thursday). We loved having them at the games to encourage our athletes. We appreciate their pep and support throughout the entire season!
