Kevin Mench
A fourth-round pick of the Rangers in 1999, Mench was the 1998 College Baseball National Player of the Year after leading the NCAA with 33 homeruns. Mench played parts of nine major league seasons with the Texas Rangers, Milwaukee Brewers, Toronto Blue Jays, and Washington Nationals
Brandon Walter
A 26th round selection by the Boston Red Sox following his graduation in 2019, Walter made his MLB debut in June of 2023.
Ron Marinaccio
A 19th round selection by the New York Yankees following his graduation in 2017, Marinaccio made his MLB debut in April of 2022
Chad Kuhl
A 9th round selection of the Pittsburgh Pirates following his graduation in 2013, Kuhl made is MLB debut in June of 2016. He was the Pirates opening day starter in 2021.
John Schneider
A 13th round selection of the Toronto Blue Jays following his graduation in 2002, Schneider has been the manager of the Blue Jays since 2022.
Jeff Trout
A 5th round selection of the Minnesota Twins following his graduation in 1983, Trout holds three single-season Blue Hen hitting records. He was inducted into the University of Delaware Hall of Fame in 2012.

Bob Hannah
A 1961 and 1964 graduate of Delaware, Hannah coached the Blue Hens for 36 years, compiling a record of 1,053-464-6 from 1965-2000. He is the winningest coach in any sport at UD. Under his guidance, the team secured 22 conference titles, reached the NCAA Regionals 12 times, and made an appearance in the College World Series in 1970. Hannah was inducted into the University of Delaware Hall of Fame in 2003.
Jim Sherman
A 1982 graduate, "Sherm" was an outstanding player for the Hens and is one of only four players in UD history to earn first team all-conference honors all four years. He coached the Blue Hens for 22 season while leading the program to 581 wins, a conference title, and two NCAA Regional appearances in 2001 and 2017. Sherm was inducted into the University of Delaware Hall of Fame in 2009.
