Mrs. Meade Shares Resources for Families and Caregivers
Otselic Valley recognized National Speech-Language-Hearing Month by celebrating the important work of Speech-Language Pathologist Lara Meade and the support she provides to students and families throughout the school year. Speech-language pathologists play a vital role in helping students develop communication skills that support learning, social interaction, and academic success. Through assessment, intervention, and collaboration with families and educators, these professionals help students build confidence and strengthen their ability to communicate effectively. As part of National Speech-Language-Hearing Month, Mrs. Meade shared several free resources available to families through a partnership between the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and Lantern. The text-based programs provide caregivers with expert tips and guidance related to speech and language development, hearing and listening skills, and feeding challenges. The resources are designed to help families better understand and support their children's communication and developmental needs while providing convenient access to information and strategies.
Thank you to Mrs. Meade for her continued dedication to supporting Otselic Valley students and helping them develop the skills they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
