Black History Month in Ladysmith

Students in Ladysmith have been working together to support a Black History Month initiative. Students from Ladysmith Intermediate and Secondary schools have been using story telling as a way to educate and share information with primary students.

Pink Shirt Day at the District Administration Centre and Facilities Department. Good to see the sea of pink as we're here to "Lift Each Other Up."

Regular Board Meeting

At the Regular Board Meeting on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, the Board adopted a number of items, including: the 2023-2024 Amended Annual Budget, the amendment to Forest Park Elementary Statutory Right of Way, and the amended Policy 3.8 Transportation to and from school.

Acting Superintendent Laura Tait shared details on the FESL Report and the Board directed staff to request feedback from the student voice circle on issues associated with cell phone limitations in schools. Body Talk HiP HoP PoW WoW Workshop for Teens

Tell your stories with body, voice and soul with Wild Mint Arts, Jonathon Adams and Amber Funk Barton. This spring break music and dance workshop centering Indigenous teens is offered by Crimson Coast Dance at sliding scale pricing to accommodate diverse economic situations.
