Dear Bluejay Family,

I hope you all had a joyful and restful Thanksgiving break, filled with love, gratitude, and cherished moments with family and friends. As we return to school, our hearts are full of thanks for each of you and the gift of this incredible St. Cecilia community.

With only three short weeks until Christmas break, the season of Advent offers us the perfect opportunity to reflect on the blessings of the past year and prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ. These weeks will be filled with meaningful learning, joyful celebrations, and opportunities to grow in faith together. Let’s make the most of them!

Thank you for the many ways you continue to support our mission and help make St. Cecilia a place where students flourish academically and spiritually. Let’s approach this busy season with excitement and gratitude for all the good we share as a Bluejay family.

Wishing you peace and joy as we begin this Advent journey!

Grace & Peace,

Erin B. Henry

- Chapel & Library Repairs and Upgrades – Complete!!

I’m excited to announce that the library and chapel repairs are now complete! Thank you for your patience and support as we worked to bring these areas back to life. We hope you enjoy the repairs and improvements as much as we do!

- Demolition Complete: Construction Update!

I’m happy to share that the demolition phase is officially complete! Temporary fencing has been installed around the construction site, marking the next step forward.

This week, crews will be focused on clearing some minor debris, so please remain cautious around the area if you are on campus for any reason. Additionally, N Jefferson Street in that vicinity is still closed to public traffic and parking until further notice.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we continue making progress!

- More Future Progress to Come!

There are many more campus improvements in the works! We’re working hard to address as many high-priority items as possible, but please remember: “Rome wasn’t built in a day.” Thank you for your continued patience and support as these projects unfold!

Stay tuned!

Dear Bluejay Family,

I hope everyone had a restful break around family and friends. We had a busy basketball week prior to the Fair and Thanksgiving break. Our soccer teams continued to practice as their seasons will start this week. It will be fast and furious for the next two and a half weeks before Christmas break. Soccer and basketball will occupy our Bluejays. We hope you come out to support our Bluejays home and away.

In the spirit of the holidays and helping those less fortunate, the SCS Athletic Department in conjunction with its boys and girls basketball teams will donate the proceeds of two of its home games to go toward providing toys to kids of families in Healing House and Foster the Love Program. To help is simple, bring a toy, you get into the game for free. If a family of 4 brings 4 toys, they all get in free. The toys will be collected at the gate of the games on December 4th and 11th. Please see the attached flyer. Special thanks to Coach Jarett Lasseigne and Coach Cristy Savoie for continuing and expanding this tradition at SCS.

On the Saturday of the Broussard Community Fair, SCS hosted the annual Broussard Community Fair 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run. The morning and preparation work could not have been done without the help of Ryne Menard, Rhett Menard, John Bergeron, Tommy Miller, Paul Prince, Mindy Boudreaux, Mike Howard, Cole LeBouef, and Briley LeBouef. Special thanks to Coach Pilar Burson and Coach Tori Guidry for timing the event as well as Ashley Denais and Hailey Fontenot for promoting it so well! The event went smoothly, and it happened to be one of the largest races in recent years. We had quite a few Bluejays, parents, and alumni participate. So I do not miss anyone, please follow the link below:
