Carly Brodsky secured two shutouts last week, including a win over No. 18 Columbus State on Friday night to be named the SSC Defensive Player of the Week. The redshirt junior from Parkland, Fla., helped the Mocs to a 2-0 week, shutting out CSU 1-0 and GCSU 3-0. Brodsky faced 20 shots by the Cougars, finishing the contest with a career-high seven saves to secure the shutout. She then followed with another clean sheet against the Bobcats, finishing with three saves on six shots faced, for her third shutout of the season.

Florida Southern College women's soccer (3-0-1, 0-0-0) secured a decisive 3-0 victory over Georgia College State University (1-3-1, 0-0-0) on Sunday at the Barnett Athletic Complex, highlighted by a first-half lead and a subsequent shutout performance by the Moccasins' goalkeeper. For the first time since 2014, Florida Southern women's soccer has opened the season with three straight victories. The milestone triumph also improves the program's all-time series record against the Bobcats to 4-2-2.
