Welcome Back

Welcome back, everyone! We hope your summer break was filled with rest, rejuvenation, and joyful moments. As we gear up for another exciting school year, we want to extend heartfelt gratitude for your dedication and enthusiasm. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead, filled with new opportunities and shared successes!

Back-to-School Opening Day Information

School starts in Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools on Tuesday, September 3 at 11am with dismissal set at 12pm. There are some exceptions for start up times at secondary schools, at Mountain View Elementary and for Kindergarten students. More information is available here.

By-Election Nominations and Voting Opportunities

General election day for the local by-election for school trustee will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 8:00am until 8:00pm at various locations. There will also be advanced and special voting opportunities.

We have received nominations from two trustee candidates:

  • HARRIS, Tim

Stock the Lockers 2024

The Nanaimo-Ladysmith Schools Foundation is looking for donations to help children affected by poverty. The Foundation is accepting donations until September 15, 2024.

Your donation will help students with school supplies, clothing and shoes, medical and dental fees, glasses, breakfast and lunches, grad, field trip and athletic fees and much more. Please consider donating if you're able.

Port Theatre Spotlight Series

The Port Theatre launches its 2024-2025 Spotlight Season. This year's series includes some of the most exciting touring artists available. Choose from a variety of unique, bold and exciting events. View the series here or contact The Port Theatre for more information.
