MASAI MARA August 27 - September 4 2026

Wildlife photography in Masai Mara.

The Masai Mara is truly a place like no other. Here, nature reigns supreme, offering unparalleled opportunities to experience wildlife up close. After my first visit, I was captivated by the beauty and diversity of the landscape and its inhabitants. I am thrilled to start sharing this incredible experience with you. Our journey focuses entirely on wildlife photography, utilizing specially designed safari vehicles that allow for low-angle shots, providing a unique, eye-level perspective of the animals in their natural habitat. We depart from camp before dawn to position ourselves for the optimal light conditions at sunrise, capturing the magic of the savannah as it awakens.

What I can offer

As a result of the abundance of animals in the Mara, top quality Masai guides and high quality animal sightings, the photographic opportunity in the Masai Mara are amazing.

I am a passionate wildlife photographer who loves to share our nature and my passion for wildlife photography.

I arrange small groups of photographers to join me on a safari in the Masai Mara where we will be staying at Oltepesi Tented Safari Camp.

Typically these groups are a maximum of 6 people, (excluding myself guiding from the front seat) We have 2 vehicles with 3 people in each to maximise the space you have in the back of the car. I will alternate between the vehicles and I’ll be around all day if you have any questions.

Purposely built safari vehicles with low angle photography possibilities and only one row seats to better photograph.

A safari is a great experience which I love sharing. I will assist you with all the logistics related to the trip as well as ensure that your stay in the Mara is a memorable one and an experience that you will never forget.

If you are looking for a personal, full-on, dawn to dusk Maasai Mara photo safari experience, then this safari is undoubtedly for you!

Extra information

Practical advice for International flights & Nairobi arrangements I recommend to fly daytime flight from Amsterdam with KLM with arrival in Nairobi the evening before (other air companies also provide flights for this destination) and book a hotel for the first night.

The Panari Hotel is recommended as its only 15 min from Wilson Airport. The return flight back to Europe has often been a night flight to Europe with departure late evening on the last day arriving Europe next morning.

Safari Link is recommended for domestic flights : Wilson Airport Nairobi – Mara Olkiombo Airstrip – Wilson Airport Nairobi. Airkenya also provide domestic flights. The extended pdf info on Oltepesi Tented Safari Camp gives advice how to book domestic flights. I can guide you through this if necessary. Photographers book their own international & domestic flights.
