- There’s been widespread concern and confusion over the recent soft launch of the U.S. Education Department’s new Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). That’s why TAMIU is hosting a series of free FAFSA Drives, “FAFSA For U,” to help students navigate the new application. The first will be Wednesday, Jan. 10. Subsequent sessions continue through January, February, and March. Details below.
- University offices will be closed for a State-authorized observance of the Martin Luther King Holiday, Monday, Jan. 15, 2024, and Spring semester classes begin Tuesday, Jan. 16. Late registration ends Monday, Jan. 22.

TAMIU Offers Free 'FAFSA for U' Sessions on New Application
We're hosting a series of free FAFSA Drives to help students navigate the U.S. Education Department’s new Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Our first drive is happening this Wednesday, Jan. 10 from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. in the Senator Judith Zaffirini Student Success Center Testing Center Lab 201.

Upcoming Exhibit Opens Thursday, Jan. 18 at TAMIU
State of Things, TAMIU's upcoming art exhibition, will hold an opening reception Thursday, Jan. 18 from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Gallery. Admission is free and open to the public. The exhibit will continue through Saturday, March 9.
Registration for the Spring 2024 Semester Now Underway
Registration for TAMIU's Spring 2024 courses continues online via Uconnect.
Undergraduate students can register for up to 18 hours during the Spring semester. Graduate students can earn up to 12 hours during the Spring semester.
TAMIU Athletics Update
TAMIU is a member of the Lone Star Conference and competes in 11 sports: volleyball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, softball, baseball, men's and women's soccer, and men's and women's golf.
