Project Description:

The $12 million renovation of Broadview Arena has transformed the venue into a vibrant and dynamic hub for competition, community and campus life. Working within the constraints of the existing structure, the design team reimagined the arena’s layout to introduce premium experiences and modern amenities. By rotating the court and expanding the concourse, the project delivered a reconfigured seating bowl anchored by four corner clubs, loge seating and a new courtside club. Enhanced sightlines and spacious chairback seating elevate the fan experience, while added points of sale and mobile concessions improve flow and convenience. These upgrades do more than enhance gameday, they create meaningful revenue opportunities and new avenues for sponsor and corporate engagement. Behind the scenes, both men’s and women’s basketball programs now benefit from state-of-the-art locker rooms, lounges and film review theaters designed to support player development and strengthen recruitment.  Beyond athletics, Broadview Arena plays a vital role in the broader university mission. It serves as a flexible venue for community events, including job fairs and regional competitions, while also hosting major institutional gatherings such as convocation and commencement. As highlighted by university leadership, the arena stands as a symbol of opportunity and inclusion, supporting students from diverse backgrounds and reinforcing the university’s role as a regional engine for growth.
