Student Council led us in a special 9/11 assembly last week to commemorate the events of September 11, 2001. We prayed for everyone affected that day and for peace in our country.

Congratulations to our Volleyball teams! 5th, 6th & 7th grade teams won their games this week! 5th and 6th grade beat Holy Family Academy. 7th grade beat Mary Queen of Peace and Our Lady of Lourdes this week! Go Runners!

Mrs. Larranaga's 5th grade science classes have been learning about mixtures and solutions. Students performed lab testing on how temperature affects the solubility of a solid. They mixed salt in both hot water and cold water and timed how long each took to dissolve.
Mrs. Pescay’s 6th grade Science classes are continuing their study of cells. They spent one of their classes assembling cell models. Students brought in various supplies to build a cell to demonstrate their knowledge of plant and animal cells.
All donations for Operation We Care will be collected by our homeroom teachers. Thank you for your support!

Mrs. Nastasi’s 5th grade math classes are learning about decimals and place values. They compared their sprint time to Mrs. Nastasi’s time.

We had a great turn out for our 6th & 7th grade Chess Club on Monday! Fr. Cuong helped our students learn how to play and learn strategy of the game. The next meeting will be on Monday, September 29th.

Mrs. Haddad's 7th grade Religion classes recently created "Heavenly Monopoly" games where the students made their own version of Monopoly where the object of the game was to gain spiritual treasures instead of earthly treasures.
