Dydd Gwyl Dewi Sant hapus iddoch chi! Happy St David's Day to you all.
What a great week we've had with our pupils continuing to try their best, earning dojos, stickers and headteachers awards.
Fabulous to hear so much Welsh singing and talking through school this week, especially today with our learners being able to explain who St David was and how we have helped others.
In Dosbarth Tegid this week we have been learning to make arrays to show our understanding of multiplication. We have been doing this in lots of different ways.
We are using a new programme called Adobe create to make persuasive posters in our English lessons and we will share our work with you in a couple of weeks.
The children have been finding out about a Welsh artist called Kevin Williams. We are using his work as inspiration for our own artwork which we will enter into our school Eisteddfod.
In science this week we have been making food chains. We challenged ourselves and made a food chain for our mythical creature, Tegid.
Dosbarth Padarn have had a great week exploring the great outdoors, leading learning in Forest School and developing our ideas in the outdoor area.
We were lucky to have a visit from 'Scientist Will' sharing ideas on the power of potato as an energy source! We explored ways of power electrical items with potatoes, lemons and also learned about coding...with a potato!!
Dosbarth Gwynant have been busy using their creative flare this week!
We have been focusing on perimeter and their first task was to create a plan for a new Chester zoo. They all had a criteria to follow with the buildings and the perimeter measurements they needed to include. The next challenge was to then calculate the overall cost of the Zoo, they soon realised this would be an expensive job!
In literacy they have been using Adobe Create to design their brochures for Wales, this was a great day for them where the could used and learn lots of new skills in DCF and improve on their persuasive writing skills.
A very productive week!
