CBSE Cluster Athletic Meet 2024, held at Bal Bharti Public School, Pitampura, witnessed remarkable performances by young athletes. Among the outstanding achievements was that of Daksh Parasar of Class XII , who showcased his exceptional talent in two challenging events.

Daksh secured the 2nd position in the Triple Jump and achieved the 3rd position in the High Jump, making our school proud with his dedication and skill. His consistent performance has earned him a well-deserved spot in the National-level competition, where we are confident he will continue to shine and bring further glory to our school.

मेरा भारत: मेरी शान, मेरी पहचान

78 वें स्वतंत्रता दिवस के अवसर पर एक भव्य कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत ध्वजारोहण समारोह से हुई, जिसमें मुख्य अतिथि मेजर पवन कुमार जी ने राष्ट्रीय ध्वज का आरोहण किया और तत्पश्चात राष्ट्रगान और सारे जहाँ से अच्छा गीत का गायन किया गया। विद्यालय के खुले सभागार में, अतिथि-स्वागत के बाद भाषण सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत हुई। विद्यालय के छात्र-छात्राओं द्वारा देशभक्ति समूह गीत प्रस्तुत किया गया । इसके बाद तिरंगा- विषय पर आधारित सुन्दर नृत्य प्रस्तुत किया गया। सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों में, देश की सेनाओं के प्रति समर्पण भी दिखा, तिरंगे के अतीत से लेकर, शहीदों की शहादत तक सभी के प्रति अभार व्यक्त दिया गया, नुक्कड़-नाटक द्वारा वीर सैनिकों के त्याग आयर बलिदानों को भी दर्शाया गया, उसके बाद विद्यालय के बैंड समूह में अप्रतिम प्रस्तुति से समां बाँध दिया; अंत में हुए, नृत्य ने सभी में जोश भर दिया।

प्रधानाचार्य श्री विविध गुप्ता जी ने छात्रों को सम्बोधित किया तथा अंत में मुख्य-अतिथि ने अपने भाषण में अपने जीवन के अनुभवों से छात्रों को प्रेरित कर देशभक्ति का संदेश भी दिया। समारोह के अंत में मुख्य-अतिथि को शॉल, Token of Regard तथा छाट द्वारा निर्मित एक सुंदर कलाकृति भी प्रस्तुत की गई। सभी ने राष्ट्रीय गान गाकर मातृभूमि का जयघोष कर देशभक्ति का परिचय दिया।

Our enthusiastic team of 30 students, alongside two dedicated teachers, proudly participated in the March Past from Rajghat to Red Fort, commemorating the 82nd anniversary of the Quit India Movement. Raksha Bandhan is a beautiful celebration of love and protection, and our students embraced this tradition symbolozing oyr Indian culture with heartfelt enthusiasm. This year, our fourth-grade students extended their gratitude and appreciation to our dedicated support staff by tying Rakhi’s on their wrists—a sweet gesture that will be fondly remembered.

In a touching display of community spirit, our students also visited the local police station to honour Raksha Bandhan. They tied Rakhi’s to the policemen, symbolizing brotherhood and respect for those who serve and protect our community. This meaningful initiative not only strengthened the bonds between our students and local authorities but also instilled valuable lessons in the students fostering kindness, compassion, and respect for others. We are incredibly proud of our students for their genuine efforts to foster a sense of community. This celebration of Raksha Bandhan truly highlighted the spirit of unity and mutual respect.

Held at the American Center New Delhi in collaboration with SPACE India, the workshop offered a hands-on experience in building and programming India’s lunar rover model.

A Memorable Journey: Bal Bhavan Public School's Visit to Amrit Udyan

Students from Bal Bhavan Public School recently enjoyed an unforgettable excursion to Amrit Udyan, where they were captivated by the stunning array of vibrant floral displays and lush greenery. The visit was a visual feast, and the students' excitement grew as they explored the on-site museum. They delved into a wealth of historical treasures, including a moon rock, exhibits on the freedom struggle, a gallery showcasing pivotal moments in history, and even the President’s vintage car. This enriching experience provided the students with a deeper appreciation for both natural beauty and historical heritage, making it a truly memorable outing.

Inter-House Declamation Competition

The students were overjoyed when the headmistress ma’am broke the 'Dahi Handi' to grace the occasion. The happy and excited students participated enthusiastically in chanting Hare Krishna Hare Rama. The function ended with the Aarti of Bal Gopal and Radha Rani. The students were enchanted with the performance and sang "Govind Bolo Hari Gopal Bolo."

‘NATIONAL SPORTS DAY’

“Winners are not people who never fail, but people who never quit.”

The National Sports Day of India was celebrated, in tribute to the legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand. Students of class III presented an assembly in which they shared the Importance and Benefits of Sports in our daily lives.

Students did the Role Play on various National Sports Players of India in which they talked about the sport which they play and their achievements. This was followed by the Significance of the Sports Day in which a few students spoke about the journey and achievements of legendary hockey player ‘Major Dhyan Chand.’

On this occasion, all the students of class Nursery to 12th participated in various sports activities with great enthusiasm and zeal. The students had fun while indulging in different outdoor games like football, Basketball, Cricket, etc. The children learned a lot about true sportsmanship and the value of playing games.

Students were seen playing with true team spirit and the celebration of National Sports Day echoed in the corridors and fields.

PROJECT CACA- Webinar on Parenting skills

“The good inheritance a parent can give his children is a few minutes of his time each day”

Teachers and parents of BBPS had the opportunity to attend an interactive webinar on “Parenting Skills” organized under Project CACA (Children Against Child Abuse). The webinar was conducted by Dr. Anusha Tyagi, a psychologist at Fortis Noida. The session aimed to equip parents with effective strategies to nurture their children’s development. Topics covered included effective communication, active listening, fostering open dialogue between parents and children, time management, and positive discipline. The session addressed common parenting challenges and offered innovative solutions to foster a positive and nurturing home environment.

HT Pace Book Reading LitFest: A Resounding Success!

The HT Pace Book Reading LitFest, hosted by the erudite Sutapa Basu, was held on 27th August 2024, leaving behind a trail of mesmerized audiences and inspired minds. The event brought together the students and teachers of various schools, book lovers and literary enthusiasts for a morning of enthralling book readings, thought-provoking discussions, and insightful author interactions.

Ms. Sutapa Basu's expert moderation, weaving together diverse perspectives and ideas gave truly enriching experience to the students. They all participated with thought-provoking questions and comments.

NATIONAL SPACE DAY - The Bharat on Moon

"Exploring the stars, we unlock the mysteries of the universe and ignite the curiosity of young minds."

The Bharat on Moon activity, organized by the Ministry of Education, took students on a creative journey from Earth to the Moon. Pre-primary students crafted spacecraft, learned about lunar phases, and met Chandran, a friendly astronaut who shared interesting space facts.

Class 1 celebrated India's space achievements with a virtual lunar tour and hands-on activities. On National Space Day, Class II created timelines documenting Chandrayaan-3's journey, followed by a space-themed quiz. Class 3 students explored space through activities and crafted their own timelines.

Classes IV and V engaged with a special website, reading graphic novels about U R Rao and APJ Abdul Kalam. Class IV participated in a quiz based on the story, while Class V reflected on Dr. Kalam's life and created comic strips inspired by his journey.

Through these activities, students enhanced their creativity, spatial awareness, and knowledge of India’s space achievements, while also learning valuable lessons about perseverance and innovation.

TOPIC- “EK PEDH MAA KE NAAM”

“Plant a tree today; it will help us breathe tomorrow.”

"Ek Pedh Maa Ke Naam," meaning "A Tree in the Name of a mother," is an initiative aimed at promoting environmental awareness while honouring the nurturing spirit of mothers. To commemorate the day, students took part in a variety of activities.

Students of class NUR-V participated in a tree-plantation activity wherein they planted saplings on the school campus and took an oath that they would each plant one tree for their mothers and Mother Earth in their housing society.

In an impactful presentation of morning assembly by the students of class IV C. They showcased the remarkable story of Amrita Devi through story narration, an environmental hero who selflessly sacrificed her life to protect nature. Through this, they came to know about the Chipko Movement and the efforts of other protestors like Sundarlal Bahuguna, Chandi Prasad Bhatt and Gaura Devi.

In conclusion, "Ek Pedh Maa Ke Naam" merges environmental conservation with social tribute, fostering a sense of responsibility and promoting a greener future through community participation.
