Senior Miley Domski returns to the staff of The Cougar Chronicle as an arts & entertainment reporter and photographer. She looks forward to having a fun outlet for writing. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her friends and family. She is an active participant in the Valley View Swim Team, Biology Club, and Leo Club
Brielle Waters returns to The Cougar Chronicle for her sophomore year, now serving as Editor-in-Chief covering student body events and politics. Outside the newsroom, Brielle is an active member in Envirothon, Leo Club, SADD, and Student Council. She also competes in Track and Field and plays on the Girls' Volleyball Team. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, and experimenting with photography.
Senior Lydia Zwanch joins the staff this year as a media and pop culture writer. By taking this class, she aims to better evolve her writing technique to help her in the future. In her free time she dogsits, ice skates and is an active member of the Leo Club. After school, she plans to become an entrepreneur.
Sophomore Layla Kisel joins the staff this year covering politics and as an arts & entertainment writer. While taking this class, she hoped to expand her knowledge of world issues as well as inform others. She is an active member of Leo Club, Student Council, Spanish club as well as a second year member of the Swim team.
Senior Sonia Skapyak joins the staff this year as a pop culture and politics writer. In her free time she dances at Kelly Patrick Studio and is an active member of the Valley View Girls Cheerleading Team, Student Council Vice President, National Honor Society and Math Honor Society member. After graduating, she plans to attend college working toward becoming a Speech Language Pathologist.
Senior Addison Siesputowski joins the staff this year as an arts & entertainment, school & community, and world issues writer. Her goal is to improve her knowledge of the happenings in the world and the issues of today. In her free time, she participates in Crossfit and Horseback Riding. She is also a member of the History club, Math Honor Society, and National Honor Society. After graduating, she wants to become a labor and delivery nurse.
Senior James Lennox joins the staff this year as the lead Political Correspondent. In his free time he is a member of the Tennis Team as well as a member of Student Council, National Honor Society, History Club and Past Time Club. Upon graduation, he plans to attend college on his way to becoming a history teacher.
Aubriana Kendricks joins the Cougar Chronicle for her sophomore year interested in covering student body events and telling our school’s story through the eyes of its students. She remains an active member in Leo Club, SADD Club, Spanish Club, and Student Council. In her free time she participates in Girls Basketball and Track and Field.
Reilly Sprague joins the Cougar Chronicle in her senior year as a member of the sports department. Reilly plans to pursue her love for english by becoming either a teacher or an editor for a publishing company. She plays Varsity Girls Volleyball and is on the Swim Team. When she’s not working, she’s reading and planning her next shopping trip.
Olivia Brennan is a senior excited to join the staff as a photographer and general reporter for The Cougar Chronicle. After she graduates, she plans to attend a 4-year university to pursue a career as a Radiology Technician. She’s particularly sad to leave behind the connections she’s made on the Girls' Tennis Team and through Basketball Cheer.
Freshman Stella Laboranti is ready to dive into the high school experience while contributing on staff as a photographer and general reporter. She hopes her work will inspire students to pick up and enjoy the paper as much as she loves creating it. As a history fan with an adventurous spirit, she dreams of traveling the world one day but for now, you’ll find her busy with Girls Tennis, Leo Club, Student Council, or hanging out with friends.
Senior Jack Kondrat joins the staff of the Cougar Chronicle as a sports reporter. He’s a part of the Varsity Valley View Cougars Football Team, and is also an active member of the history club. He enters this class hoping to get something out of it that he finds interesting and that he’ll personally invest in. He also hopes that his work ethic and drive will help him always keep going when it comes to being a part of the staff.
Senior Ayden Tempesta joins the staff of the Cougar Chronicle as a photographer. Ayden plans on majoring in journalism, hoping that taking this class will help him get ahead, including in his dream of starting his own photography business. In his free time he enjoys taking photos and continuing his work and love of photography.
Sophomore Nathan Conway joins the staff as a sports reporter. He hopes to improve his writing skills. He was a former member of the Spanish Club and Past time club. Nathan views himself as a perfectionist, and he strives to make everything as close to perfect as he can whenever writing articles or doing anything inside and outside of school.
Freshman Emma Butka joins the Cougar Chronicle staff as an arts and entertainment reporter. She hopes to improve her writing and have a place to write what she’s passionate about. In the future, she hopes journalism will help make her a clear writer and will help her ability to communicate with others. Outside of being a member of the staff she enjoys the subject of math, and she participates in dance.
Sophomore Clare Murphy joined journalism in hopes of becoming a better writer. Some extracurriculars Clare participates in are Volleyball for the high school team and dancing. She gets her daily motivation from pure pressure. Clare’s goals for the future are to be successful in her career of choice. Her free time usually consists of studying or practicing her extracurriculars and she believes her peers would describe her as a determined person.
Chloe Krzak joins the staff as a sophomore ready to cover word events and arts and entertainment. She loves writing and hopes taking journalism will help improve her skills. When she's not reading she's picking up a paintbrush in her free time honing in on her creative ability. She is a part of the student council, along with clubs such as Leo, Spanish, Bio, and History.
Natalie Ropati joined journalism because she enjoys writing and informing others along with herself. She hopes that being on the staff will help her improve her writing as a personal author. Natalie feels her greatest strength as a writer is having a vast vocabulary and good grammatical structure. In her free time she loves to watch films and pick up a new book.
Tiana Bonilla joins the Cougar Chronicle staff as a freshman. She hopes journalism will help her develop her ability to bring uninteresting topics to life. She believes writing is the best form of self-expression to make the world make sense. Throughout her writing she likes to connect paragraphs and include reason. In her free time you'll find her scrolling to find her next favorite movie.
Anthony Maurizio joins the staff to learn how to write in a journalistic aspect. Anthony believes his greatest strength comes in his creativity and that he, himself is his greatest motivator. When he's not on the tennis court he pursues his passion for drama by acting. Theater adds a sense of comfort with its judgement free zone making him feel free to be himself.
