It's Advent! During this season, we wait and prepare for Jesus' coming, both at Christmas and when He comes again. This year, we're exploring the "Recipe for Salvation" and discovering what Christmas baking can teach us about God and His Word.
Light the Advent Wreath
Each Sunday of Advent, we light a candle on the Advent wreath to count up to Jesus' birth at Christmas. This week, we light the HOPE, PEACE, JOY, and LOVE candles. Christmas is almost here!
What's the difference between cookies from the grocery store shelf and handmade cookies straight from the oven made by someone who cares? It's love and connection. There's something so special about a family recipe passed down with love through the generations.
God was made human in love for us. For generations, people passed down the message that a promised Savior would come. Finally, one night in Bethlehem, Jesus was born. Love came down made for us to be with us.
