ARTISTS statement

As a recent Graduate of Howard University, my journey as a Black female actress has been shaped by the experiences and influences that began long before I stepped onto a stage. I still remember the first time I saw a Black girl play Raggedy Ann in a production of Raggedy Ann and Andy when I was seven. The sight of a Black girl on stage, fully embodying a character so different from myself yet so familiar, sparked something in me. It was the first time I realized that theatre was not just an art form but a powerful tool for self-expression and transformation. That moment ignited a lifelong passion for acting, and I knew from that point on that storytelling was my calling.
