Principal Message
As we come to the end of Term 1, I am delighted to reflect on the wonderful achievements and progress made by our students here at Kinchela Public School. It has been a term filled with growth, learning, and memorable experiences for all. Ensuring the well-being of our students remains a top priority. Our dedicated staff have worked tirelessly to create a supportive and inclusive environment where every student feels known, valued, and cared for. We continue to provide resources and support services to promote mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
There has been a lot to celebrate from our Kindergarten students and their transition to ‘big school’, and we are all so proud of their efforts and dedication.
I would like to express my gratitude to our parents and guardians for their ongoing support and partnership in their child's education. Your involvement in school activities, participation in open nights, and the Easter Disco are invaluable in creating a strong school community.
As this is the last newsletter for the term, the staff and I would like to wish all families a happy and safe holiday, and we can’t wait for students to return on Tuesday, 30 April.

The Big Vege Crunch
Our school took part in The Big Vegie Crunch in Week 8 along with other NSW schools. All students excitedly munched and crunched on vegies and talked about the importance of trying new foods and developing healthy eating habits for life.
Students K-6 had a fun afternoon playing various team games from all around the world. We played a variety of tactical and chasing games from Australia, New Zealand, Italy, China, and South America. There were lots of smiles and laughter. Students had a great time demonstrating that ‘everyone belongs’ by demonstrating excellent sportsmanship, co-operation and encouragement.
K-3 Class News
What an amazing effort by all K-3 students this term! We have been absolutely blown away by the level of development in knowledge, understanding and skills across all key learning areas. We have loved observing student enthusiasm and motivation towards achieving learning goals and seeing the improvement in literacy and numeracy in particular.
Music with Daniel
We are very fortunate to have Daniel come in every Wednesday as a specialised Music Teacher from the Australian Children’s Music Foundation. This term the students have been working hard to learn guitar and piano under Daniel's guidance.
