We were excited to attend the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new blacktop playground on Monday. Picture Day is coming up on Monday, 10/9. It is also Scholastic Book Fair Week. Your child will attend this schoolwide Book Fair during their Library Special. We continue to immerse ourselves in multiplication facts and strategies. Our next Topic 2 test will be on Monday. Thank you for sending in a healthy snack every day and thank you for sending in headphones for Chromebook use. Have a great week!
Fourth Grade
The fourth graders are busy!
In math, we will be completing Topic 2 at the end of this week and will test on it early next week. This Topic focuses on addition and subtraction of larger numbers. If your child does not know their basic facts, please work on them at home. It will help them be more successful.
We are reading the last few chapters of our novel, Because of Winn Dixie. Be sure to ask your child about this story and their favorite part so far.
We are learning all about water in Science! We are also excited about our upcoming trip to the Waste Water Treatment Plant on October 17th. Please be sure to sign the two permission slips and return them to your child’s teacher as soon as possible.

Clothing request for the Nurse
Dear Eleanor Roosevelt Elementary school community, the PTO in conjunction with the school nurse, requests your support in this year's clothing drive. As in the past, this drive is used for our students when a change of clothes are needed. Bloody noses, paint spills, water bottle leaks, or waiting just a bit too long to use the bathroom can make a change of clothes necessary.
Please sign up HERE and help.
Thank you for making ER a fantastic community!
