Amazing Views ADOBE STOCK CREATIVE CHALLENGE March 2024

This month we wanted our community to share their favorite part of the world with us! So they went ahead to amaze us with natural landscapes, urban settings, or even out-of-this-world creations!

Header imagae from marcelias.

Milou Dirks

Keywords: Woman, tulip, flower, field, Dutch. Not much to add here! Good selection of keywords.

I appreciate the inclusion of a human figure in the photo: the anonymity adds an intriguing element, allowing viewers to easily project themselves into the scene. Additionally, the contrast between the flowers' pastel pink and the sky's serene blue creates a visually appealing balance. Personally, I believe adjusting the viewpoint slightly higher to showcase more of the tulip field and less of the sky could enhance the overall interest of the composition.

Sheila F2002

Keywords: Castle, tower, coastal, beach, waves. Nice keywords; I would have changed “beach” for “cliff”, since I believe it has more importance on this image.

This image boasts a compelling composition, featuring lines that lead the eye towards the tower, accentuating its prominence. The stark contrast between the airy sky and the solid, imposing cliff adds depth to the scene. Furthermore, clients can leverage the ample copyspace on the left to incorporate their text or logos, or opt for a vertical frame centered on the tower. And of course, the location itself is nothing short of breathtaking!

Oleksandra

Keywords: Ukraine, Carpathians, Sunset, Mount Hoverla. There is plenty of room for improvement on the keywords here. First, the country, region, and even the name of the mountains are not so relevant in this image as to put those in the first five keywords (nor the top ten). “Snow”, “boy”, “sledge”, “forest”, “winter”… are much more relevant keywords than those.

While this image holds considerable potential for client use, I believe it could have been enhanced with a few adjustments during the capture. The main elements—the boy on the sled, the solitary tree, and the various horizon lines—are positioned near the thirds but don't quite align. Bringing the child closer to the camera would have added significance and allowed viewers to better relate to him, transforming the scene from a simple landscape into a narrative-rich image. Additionally, I would have aimed to intensify the warmth of the golden hour, which is hinted at but not fully realized.

AnaLarrosa

Keywords: Scotland, Glen Coe, Snow, Mountains, Highlands. That’s a good selection of keywords. Nothing to add or correct there!

This is a great image. The cool colors in the photo really make you feel the cold atmosphere of the place, which adds a lot of impact. The way the mountains slope down towards the river in the picture makes it more interesting, adding dynamism to the composition. I miss a human figure in the image: it always helps storytelling and viewer identification and adds a sense of scale.

JillC

Keywords: Mount Kilimanjaro, lioness, Amboseli National Park, Kenya, Africa. Good keywords. I always prefer to keep compound keywords to a minimum, so I would have used only “Kilimanjaro” instead of “Mound Kilimanjaro”, at least on the top 10 keywords. Same for “Ambroseli National Park”.

Beautiful scene! I admire how the photographer captures the grandeur of the landscape, from the vast meadow to the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. The presence of the lionesses in the scene adds depth and perspective, allowing us to grasp the scale more effectively. There's no need for a human figure here 😁; the lionesses provide a captivating focal point that tells a compelling story on its own.

marcelias

Keywords: Catalan Pyrenees, Berguedà, fog, sunrise, snow. Good use of keywords, but I’m missing “mountain” as one of the main ones; may be more relevant than “snow.”

This image is full of contrasts: from the use of color with the cold tones of the sky and snow with the warm reddish tint of the sun's rays of dawn to the textures between the hardness of the rocks and vegetation of the mountains with the softness of the clouds and fog. It all adds depth and richness to the scene. It's truly an atmospheric composition that captures the enchanting magic of the world around us.

Simi Jois

Keywords: Chicago, Lake Michigan, navy pier, aerial, sunset. Good keywords! You are both locating your image with precision and also describing the kind of image and the mood of it.

I must admit, choosing between this image and the one of Ronda was tough for me, given my connection to Malaga. However, I find this urban panorama of Chicago truly remarkable. It beautifully captures the interplay of colors, contrasting the warm hues of the sunset sky with the cool blue tones of the steel and Lake Michigan. Moreover, the diagonal composition along the coastline infuses the image with a sense of dynamism and movement.

JTFisherman

Keywords: Alaska, landscape, moon, mountain, travel. Good use of keywords. I like that you included “travel” as a conceptual keyword here!

I'm captivated by the striking contrast captured in this image—between the icy, snow-covered mountains and the sky with the warmth of those last rays of sunshine of the day, alpenglow which dyes the mountain red. The presence of the moon looming large in the sky adds an enchanting touch, lending the scene a surreal and almost otherworldly atmosphere. It's a truly mesmerizing composition that evokes a sense of wonder and awe.

Marko Subotin

Keywords: vacation, rest, fun, sunbathing, summer. I would have picked up different keywords for the first ones. Yes, there are people sunbathing and resting in the image (and maybe having fun!), but they are not the main elements of your image.”Aerial”, “Water”, “minimalism” could be good keywords to consider here.

Aerial perspectives offer a fresh outlook that often surprises us with their novelty. They allow for intriguing compositional choices, as seen in this image. The minimalist approach employed here carries a strong impact, enhanced further by the surreal editing style that sets it apart. Yet, I would have appreciated an alternative version without the zigzag editing along the shore and platform.

Michael O'Neill

Keywords: clouds, trees, reflect, lake, surface. This is a good selection of keywords; however, I’m missing “landscape” here! Also, maybe change “reflect” to “reflection”. There are ten times more images with “reflection” than “reflect” in Adobe Stock, but I believe it would suit your image better.

This image evokes a profound sense of tranquility and serenity for me. The reflections captured within it beautifully encapsulate the essence of suspended time, while the expansive vista offers a refreshing sense of openness. The stark contrast between the sky, water, and forested horizon effortlessly draws the viewer's gaze toward the center, making it an ideal focal point for clients seeking impactful compositions.
