Winter Weather Dressing
With the start of wintery and wet weather, please send your student(s) to school dressed warmly (winter coats, hats, gloves and boots ) and with a change of clothes in their backpack. This will help keep them dry and comfortable throughout the school day in case they get wet while outdoors.

Reporting Absences Thru ParentVUE
Why Use ParentVUE for Absences
If a student is not attending school for the day or series of days, the parent has the ability to document this absence in ParentVUE instead of making a call and leaving a voicemail for the attendance clerk.
How to Enter an Absence
- Log in to ParentVUE
- Click on "Report Absences" (listed on the left side panel)
- Mark either 'E for Excused" or "EI for Excused Illness'. You can submit the attendance for a signledate or a range of dates by clicking on each day. (Future absences are not visible in PVUE until the date of the absence.)
- Please leave a comment in the notes section, explaining the absence.
- Click Save
Please let the Attendance Office know about ALL absences even if you have alerted the Classroom Teacher.

Homeless Youth Awareness Month
Poudre School District serves approximately 1,500 students experiencing homelessness. The number of PSD families and youth experiencing homelessness continues to increase and their needs have risen exponentially. Currently, one out of every twenty students is experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity in our district. Information and teaching resources on supporting students experiencing homelessness can be found at the National Network for Youth, and Learning for Justice sites. Local information about PSD can be found on the PSD website. You can make a difference just by being aware of the issue and spreading that awareness to your sphere of influence such as family, friends, colleagues. If you are interested in ways you can help minimize the impact of homelessness for our students, please consider donating directly to the PSD McKinney-Vento fund by
Funds go directly to removing educational barriers for students who are experiencing homelessness, so they have access to school and have the support to be successful. Additionally, if you are interested in your donation being able to support beyond educational barriers to support families with basic needs and even housing assistance, please consider donating to the PSD Foundation’s Compassion Fund using this link. Thank you, and we wish you all a happy Fall Season!
