The Week Ahead

National School Counselors Week

February 5-9 is National School Counselors Week! We are blessed at MSE to have two wonderful full-time counselors to assist students with a variety of needs as they navigate middle school. Whether you need help with scheduling, classes, career paths, conflict resolution, peer mediation, whatever you need, Mr. Alesi and Mrs. Hoskisson are here to help! This week we take to recognize their efforts each and everyday to support all the students here at Middle School East!

Eagle of the Week!

This week's Eagle of the Week is Jayden L! He was nominated by Mrs. Ciavattone, who said "It is my pleasure to nominate Jayden for Eagle of the Week because he demonstrates all four pillars of our citizenship here at Middle School East. Jayden works hard at learning a new language showing resilience when the work might become challenging. He isn't afraid to ask questions when he is unsure of something. He shows respect to all his classmates and tries to help out others when he can. Jayden helps out in the classroom by putting up chairs, picking up trash, putting items away, and doing other responsibilities that are not his, but that show he is taking pride in his school. I love his genuine smile and greeting each day. Jayden never fails to say goodbye and often gives me a hug when he leaves. He is truly building positive relationships here at East. Jayden sets an example of how all students should exemplify the pillars of respect, responsibility, resilience, and relationships and is a true pleasure to have in my Spanish class." Congrats Jayden!
