About Me

I am a Finnish-Australian Costume and Textile Designer based in Dublin. I have worked and studied in the field for some time now. I work across theatre, opera, dance, TV and film. I also organise workshops and trainings in various fields: art, textile art and costume design as well as cooking.

My artistic approach is crafting a story that people would be interested to see and hear. I want to facilitate and inspire creativity, and help others to express their ideas. My passion lies in all aspects related to costumes. Not only the design and making of clothes and textiles, but also how a costume assists the performers to participate in their role, and how they help set the tone and style to bring the script to life, drawing the audience into a fictional world. I want to further develop my skills and apply them to create innovative art in a sustainable way.

I graduated with an MFA in Stage Design, majoring in Costume Design, from The Lir Academy (Trinity College Dublin) in Ireland. I previously graduated from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in Finland, where I completed a BA in Design, majoring in Textile Design. My studies included an exchange semester at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. Some of my earliest studies are in Fashion and Textiles, where I graduated from Stadin AO, Helsinki Vocational College as well as Helsinki Design School, both located in Finland.

I am currently a member of the Irish Society of Performance Designers.
